Probably a small portion, most of our body is water. Are you looking for dry protein mass or muscles (everything in a muscle cell). I believe muscles are 70% water. Hard to calculate that...not sure how useful it is either. But I remember being quite shocked to see the dry protein mass a few years ago.

OK, I stand partially corrected, since DEXA at this stage, is capable of determining the body composition in 3 vectors: Body Fat, Bone and LBM. A new method for adding Protein as a 4th component has been suggested. (that would be interesting indeed).
