I am currently shopping around at gyms. How much do you guys pay per month for membership?

I would recommend not getting a contract. just pay for a year upfront cash.
I think i paid $300 for 1 year.. the only risk is if the gym closes but that is a risk i am willing to take because i don't want people charging my credit card monthly and not allowing me to cancel

I don't. My local gym doesn't charge me. But I make sure to help them with stuff. Quid pro quo
