I always hear that the more muscle you have the more you burn while doing nothing. (BMR) my question is how many more calories are burned per pound of muscle.
I came across the same information. Quite a large difference. Know of any other studies that might give some clue. I try to calculate my BMR but it's so far off. I take in 7000 calories and still no fat gain. My only gains are muscle but that can only grow so fast. Trying to add about 10 pounds.

I guess my thoughts are what am I doing wrong. Is it that I have a high BMR or something else stopping me from getting any fat. I can't eat 2500 calories a day for a month and not loose any weight and still gain muscle or I can take in 7000 not loose weight not gain fat and gain muscle. What other factors are at play?
Damn man I can't lose with 2000 a day without a lot of work and t3. Gaining isnt an issue at 3000 a day with no cardio. Get checked for hyperthyroid possibly?
