how much does an american earn on average

I have a masters degree. MEd in teaching and I didn't start anywhere near 40000. I stated at 32000. But I currently make 50,000 after 12 years of
Experience. I will not get another raise step until I reach year 16 and then I won't get another one until year 18 and my final one in year 26. To top off at 61000.

For your level of education you should be making twice that, fucking rediculious

IMO university shouldn't be taken lightly. You have to take in account 4-5 years to get a degree then maybe a few more depending on your field of choice, that's 4-5 years of student loans plus lost wages for those 4/5 years. Then you get out and hopefully you can find a job, now hopefully the field you chose pays enough to be worth it. Your coming out with maybe 30-40 thousand in student debt, plus you'll want a car and a house(or rent), and your already starting behind the game. Compared to my friends that went, In the form of assets I'm way ahead, I do have some going for law so of course they'll do better but I just don't think it was worth it for me. Trades or oil field seems more logical, I should say I'm generalizing if your going into a field you love then by all means you can't put a price on happiness.

Eeh, for me school wast it. I went into the family business, architectural metal and glass systems and I do better than my friends who are lawyers. I only have a 9th grade education and a GED. Now I know it's a fam business but please believe I work my ass off.
To be successful you have to ditch the parties, drinking and all the fun bs to work hard. Wake up, eat sleep and breathe your business. There will be time for the rest of that shit later on. When a fighter jet takes off he pushes full throttle until they're 40,000 feet and THEN they cruise. Live and work the same way.
That's how I live and what's worked for me. Dream big and pursuit and don't stop until you get it or fail trying.

I agree it's just I found your almost stigmatized for not have a secondary education, when most of the time it isn't financially smart. I wish I had a cut throat attitude because I tried straight commission job with the potential for lots of money and the cold calls obliterated my self confidence, as well as gave me anxiety for phones. I need something to block the fear so I can try again

Hahaha I have a solar energy company here in ny. I could teach you cut throat lol. It's the crookedest business out there. Big commissions too. 20k+ on your avg job. Getting the job is the challenge. Everyone and their mother sells solar here and they all drop their pants for a job
