I have a masters degree. MEd in teaching and I didn't start anywhere near 40000. I stated at 32000. But I currently make 50,000 after 12 years of
Experience. I will not get another raise step until I reach year 16 and then I won't get another one until year 18 and my final one in year 26. To top off at 61000.

Where you from? Your sickly under paid. My sister is a elementary school teacher and makes 80k a year in ny and she's 26

I have 12 years in the district I'm in. In Ohio at least your locked into your district if you have more than three years because other districts have to pay u based on your experience. In Ohio every school district is struggling to find money and they will not hire teachers with a lot more experience.
