I dont have 401K by the way this is why I have savings however my husband does and he does contribute...

Hopefully i'll get 401K soon though.... so i can help out. and be greedy.. lol j/k

Just a guess. What are you paing on the cc? 10%? Either way, bring the total down before you get 10k of cash. just my opinion. I guess you've heard other wise. ...

The worst that could happenis you'd have to pay something off with another cc if you were tight on money before you got the 3-6 months (10k) cushion again.

Pay off the debt whether it's 10 or 20%. CC debt is the devil.

thanks gl - Its actually 6.9% so I cant complain too much - My all time balance was around 10k but that was for various reasons such as tution,buying condo, moving etc

Currently it is at 3k and I just made a 1K payment so by next week it shoud be 2k - Gonna work on it hardcore - dont want to make any more payments LOL!
