How Many Calories?

I'm looking to gain muscle. I think I've been obsessing over losing fat for the past few months, and because of it I've lost weight, but I haven't made any strength gains at the gym. Now it's time for muscle.
I'm 20 years old, 5'5", and 140lbs. I always hear I should be taking 140g protein daily, and I do about that with egg whites, turkey, protein shakes and whey. I stay away from all the carbs, except for fruit (and some veggies) because I love it too much. For muscle gains, how many calories should I be taking in per day?

You might want to up your protein to 1.2-1.5g per lb and weight wise, possibly go to 15x (IMO) bodyweight for your calories...Consume chicken breast, good cuts of steak and possibly take creatine/glutamine if you haven't so far

you need more calories than 15X for serious gains. shoot for 23-25 X BW, & at least 150g protein/day. you may want to reconsider eliminating carbs for this diet. CARBS ARE NOT EVIL.
