I never really ate or bought oats, so excuse me for the silly
question.
The label reads:
"Organic Oats Flakes (Quaker)"
"Quaker contains the highest fat and protein content among
all grains"
They are small elipse shaped thin flakes that are tasty
even if eaten dry with nothing.
The label says FOR 100g of COOKED product:
Calories: 384
Protein: 16g
Carbs: 67g
Fats: 6.3g (of which sat 1.1g)
Sodium: 4mg
Fiber: 1.1g
Since I eat them raw just like that, what is the nutritional value
for UNCOOKED ?
I tried looking at www.nutritiondata.com but the number
I got there for just 'OATS' was 389 cals. There's something
not right. It can't be that raw oats will contain 389 cals for 100g
and cookies with contain 384 cals for 100g.
Raw are always a lot more caloric wise (take rice for example)
as they are not socked with water.
Somebody please explain...
Thanks
