I'm still natural after a year and i'm glad as i'm still making gains natural but those people who start training on the monday and begin their first cycle on tuesday really make me laugh! this guy at my gym did that and now he looks like a whale he's carrying that much water weight (and to be honest not very much muscle)

Most of my early training was for track, and not bodybuilding. Years later I got back into the gym and liked the feeling of more mass, and the way it looked. The big guys in the gym were also a motivating factor - I wanted to look like them - life is too short to be small!

I took my first roids at 29. (Now 32). I wish I had started earlier! In my early twenties I had no contacts for getting gear and nobody to talk to about it - it was a taboo word in track (even though most of the best guys were juicing). Thank god for the internet and forums like this one.

While track was fun, if I could do it again, I would definitely choose bodybuilding instead.

I am in my early thities and will do my first cycle in a few months. I have been lifting for 15 years. I was super skinny and have built my mass up pretty good. It was not until recently though that I was able to put on weight easily. When I hit 30 I could pack on the pounds.

I think my frame is now condusive to hit a cycle a year or maybe one every two years.......

10 years. I built a good foundation in that time and felt at 25 was a good age to commence AS for some monster size!

I'm getting my first cycle together now, very excited. I have been lifting for 6 years; I'm 21 now. I'm almost certain that I have reached my genetic potential; gains have been extremely slow the past year; it's hard to maintain motivation.
