How long can I run T3 at 12.5mcg?

So many focus on whether or not the thyroid will recover after suppression. 99% of the time it will. Instead, the focus should be on the consequences of having excess T3 in your system for 4 straight months. Obviously this is dose related, but everyone should remember that T3 does more than just effect metabolism. There are 5 different thyroid hormone receptors located all over the body (brain, heart, muscle, liver, kidneys, pituitary, hypothalamus, bone, adipose tissue) resulting in multiple actions. Do a pubmed search on the consequences of hyperthyroidism, because by staying on for that long, you are essentially simulating such a pathological condition.

anyone know of a 20mcg/tab dosage of T3 out of europe. i always see everyone talk about the 25mcg/tab. just wondering if its real.

i had my thyroid chekked 4 weeks after being on T3 for 10 weeks(doseage ranged from 25-50mcg). my test came bak normal, no probs what so ever...would i do it again for that long, sure, i have found T3 to be of great use when cycling because it allows me more freedom in my diet, although now i only use 12.5-25mcg because i have found it to be right for what i want.

I'm so tired of all the nay-sayers. Prolonged use of T3 even at very high dosages of say 100-300mcgs per day, will not shut down your thyroid permenantly. There have been people on t3 for years and years and when they were taken off the drug their thyroid fuction returned to normal. http://www.rippedmass.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=806&highlight=cytomel

Here is another article: http://www.anabolicextreme.com/anabolic/archives/anex_archives_issue9_getlean.htm

Bro the best way to find out most anything that you want to know is to use that little button at the top of the page, called the search button. Too many bro's on here spreading misinformation to take any chances. Do you homework, and then make your own educated decisions. Hope this helps you.
Oh yea and please none of that, t3 can shut you down for life!!!! I believe that its Warlobo who has had a standing bet going for quite some time now, if anyone can prove that using t3 can shut down your thyroid function for life, he will pay them $100, no one has taken his money yet. Be easy bro.

I echo this.

I've done long term T3 cycles at 12.5mcg and I've never had any issues when coming off of it. If there was any suppression then it wasn't noticeable. Personally I don't think taking T3 at 12.5mcg for a few months at a time poses any problems for the average person. Perhaps if you have some sort of underlying thyroid problem then it may cause problems, so just do a blood test to find out first. If everything checks out ok you should be fine.

And if you want to know for sure how dangerous it is then run that dose for a few weeks and have your blood tested after the cycle. If it's near normal levels then go for a longer cycle. I doubt that small of a dose would cause any more significant suppression long term than it does in the first few weeks.

Research this for yourself and get blood work done. Once you know how your body reacts then it doesn't matter what all these heresay spouters are telling you. I really wish people who have no real world experience on a topic would quit giving out advice on something they heard from someone else. Those people gain zero credibility in my book. Feel free to give a friendly warning and point them to your reference thread or study, but don't just come into a message and say "Don't do it, it's dangerous!" especially if you've never tried it.

Agreed.. Yes I do get bloodwork done monthly, it's free, I'll start watching it.
