How Hot to Filter ?

How warm do you all like to have your oil to filter it ? how hot is too hot ???

100-110 F is the hottest you want to go. On the bottle top filters they saw the recommend temp to be used

If I remember Milipore Steritop PVDF recommends max pressure 1bar(at) at 25*C(77*F) and maximal operating temp. 45*C(113*F) - max pressure not specified. So if you make 1bar underpressure and temp. 45*C I think filtration can be not effective. At higher temp. molecule oscillation will be higher and pressure will be pushing oil through loose pores so bigger particles will be passing to solution. At 25*C and 1 bar with SCGVT05RE is fast enough.

I saw on TV mechanicians who checked pressure in engine cylinders with manometers to determine is it working right so it must be accurate way. Antoher thing is quality of manometer on your pump. So what do you suggest?Don't worry and heat solution to filter? I admire your knowledge and I'm curious what you do.

I meant no disrespect. I read all that crap too. And I read many boards. You can never have too much knowledge, money or sex!

Hand pumps are ok for up to 500ml but after that you need something better.
