How do you Train while "off".......

I posted this one on the "Training Boards" but got no replies. I was curious how all of you train during your "off time"? Do you cut your sets back, intensity, increase your rest periods? I was told by a pro BB to train heavier with let sets and intensity - any opinions???????

I pretty much train the same...

except taking more days off during the week. While on a cycle I can train 5-6 days a week and recover fine and while not on a cycle I only train 4 days. Mon-Tuesday, off Wed., thursday, off Friday, Saturday, off Sunday. I think that your body recovers faster while on a cycle than when not cycling. My diet seems to stay the same whether on or off. I do more cardio while not on a cycle though. As far as training style that doesn't change at all.

I train each body part twice a week but only do 2 sets on that body parts day. I have been doing this the past 6 weeks since I have been off and I have kept all my gains. Note, I do kinda "half ass" the workouts to prevent over training. Shit I enjoy the gym too much to not go as often while off.

I use HIT protocol. Train like usual (mon-wed-fri), but with only 2-3 working sets to failure. I use 2 warm up sets for each exercise. My program is split in 4 with no overlapping. Pumps are great.

I pretty much train the same off while on, but when on I have WAY more intensity, largely due to increased recovery.

I pretty much train the same way , the poundages my drop a little but my routine doesn't change. At the same time I always try to add a little variety to my training each week ( less weight and higher reps , reverse the order of the exercises , more weight and lower reps , etc ) So I never really have to change my training because it is changing all the time anyway.

The only time I make major changes if for a specific reason like bringing up a lagging bodypart or to make my training more effective.

I train the same when I am on or off gear just when I am off gear I realize I can't recover as fast so I lower the number of total sets. My intensity never changes though

balls to the wall always, max intensity, max weight, short effective workouts. Remember, if you dont use the new muscle you build in a cycle, there is no way you will keep it. So if during the cycle you were benching lets say 315, off cycle, try to be benching close to that weight even if you force the reps. or bench the most you can handle, get the point? If you dont use it, you will loose it!
