No, that has nothing to do with it.nimbus said:why don't you eat beef nemore bro?
wasn't there a madcow scare in socal a few years ago?
Pat_McCrotch said:I love it medium rare. I fell in lov with Chakas MMMMMM sauce.
What cut do yall prefer?
Lestat said:No, that has nothing to do with it.
Its not as healthy as fish, chicken, chicken, or turkey. (I already don't eat pork)
It uses a ton of natural resouces to produce and produces a lot of pollutants in the process. I find it socially irresponsible.

stfu and go to bed like u were suppsed to hours agocurvymommy said:I'm from cattle country. If it's a good cut of meat salt, pepper, maybe a store bought rub of somekind. Simple dry stuff and we only cook it medium rare.
If it's a crappy cheaper cut I let is swim in cheap salad dressing, fish it out, coarse kosher salt and fresh ground black pepper it and then don't over cook it either. Oh and if it's tough I use a needler on it as Needto has spoken of.
no shit? can u fedex me some roo in dry ice?xrsist said:a good roo steak beats any beef by a mile
exactly bro, and this shit isn't propaganda. I give a big fuck you to the free range organic nuts. They do not realize that you cannot feed the world's population without genetically engineers crops (crops that are weather resistant, will grow in less nutrient rich soil, etc.) I find that selfish and socially irresponsible as well.nimbus said:funny you mention that, recently a student in my program emailed me this:

I'm sure you've read something similar; basically it briefly describes the carbon footprint of eating a cheeseburger compared to driving an SUV
mountain muscle said:I don't eat as much steak anymore but I always eat it rare or raw. A good dry rub or kosher salt and fresh ground pepper is all you need. Sauce is for brisket and ribs.
I still eat idealist, ignorant liberals raw though, although even when you cook them well done, they are still soft.

Lestat said:Its obvious that many people don't really give a fuck about others, and do not strive for the ideal, I'm ok with that as long as you don't knock those that do.
redsamurai said:you don't shit raw...stfu!! I'lll bet your dogs cook a better steak than you do.

mountain muscle said:Raw or rare is the only way...
I eat it raw as beef tataki or at the korean restaurant I frequent. Sometimes at the certain sushi bars that serve it raw as well. Raw filet with some garlic paste, green onions and sweet soy is some great ass stuff.
and this stuff is delicious...

How about most of the natural gas from Colorado going to Cali to feed their enormous energy expenditure? What about the cost and environmental effects of cutting through several states in order to run pipelines to feed you hypocrites energy?
Why isn't there more hydro-electric plants on the coast by you? Why aren't there more windmills for power? Oh that is right, it would force you people to put your money where your mouth is.
I remember a few years ago about California fighting for water rights in Colorado.
You people preach a good game and like to tell others what to do while living in hypocrisy. As long as you aren't inconvenienced, but look good and feel good then it is okay.
And when you tire of the high cost of living in cali and exhaust resources, you move on to another place en masse. Namely Colorado and bring your bullshit with it.
Your IDEAL is exactly what we do not need.
redsamurai said:oh well now that's a different story........that's good shit!! Except isn't beef eye round a cheap cut?? You're supposed to use filet for tartars right? Or is filet beef eye round??
I do what I can bro, we do have a shitload of windmills in Cali, I have been saying for years we need more nuclear power.mountain muscle said:It's obvious you don't strive for the ideal, you look for things that make you look and feel better.

Its a personal choice for me that I'm willing to talk about, but I don't talk down to those who do not share my own views (when it comes to beef).

rudy76 said:Rib-Eye, medium rare, brush lightly with "cattle boys" bbq sauce and spinkle just a little bit of "montreal steak spice" on - mmmmmmmmmm
redsamurai said:well you got the first part right nancy...........but "sauce"........on steak?? I hope you're joking.
And y'all better realize that a medium rare steak has to be achieved through the hottest possible flame you can conjure. I've actually been to so called steak houses that will bring out this lukewarm piece of crap that just barely has char markings on the outside. You need to incinerate that mother fucker........makes the outside hot which than seals the meat. I actually cook filets on a ribbed pan because I can get it hotter. I can get the same effect with charcoal........but if you're only cooking one steak it's kind of irritating to use that much charcoal to achieve the right temp.
Pat_McCrotch said:Who are you? Did you buy the COTB or was it given to you?
I like to spread a little 2 ball compound on my steak.Pat_McCrotch said:What kind marinade and how well do you cook it?

usually just salt and pepper. . .but i may use a little steak rub from time-to-time. . .on a searing hot grill. . .a couple/few minutes on each side. . .so it's dark on the outside and not-cold in the middle. . .then i stuff it in my head. . .mmmmm, mmmmmm. . .makes me wanna run out and bite a cow right in the ass. . .
