Winter- Tanning bed once a week

Summer- I sail and get it it ole fashined way- THE SUN!

I too, tan VERY easy ! I also watch that I have protection(SUNBLOCK) for skin cancer issue's.

You only tan once per week and stay tan that way during the winter?? Damn I need to tan like 3-4x per week to stay dark haha.

:D:D

Mostar- Like I said..I sail A LOT in the summer so I am VERY dark right now.

In the winter I am not this dark. I just have a healthy glow...

WHITE IS FOR LAUNDRY, DOLL! LOL

I used to just lay out w/o sun block. I would get naturally tan very quick, but recenlty I started reading about Skin Cancers and they say everyone should wear at least SPF 15 even if you tan very easily.

from the Sun in the summer and tanning beds durin the fall, winter, spring. But damnit my summer tan is fading away so im pissed, and don't think there will be much sun anymore :( But they are opening some "Hollywood Tan" places in NYC so im going to def. going to one of them, they say it takes only 8 minutes.

Out sailing on MY boat each weekend too Vixenbabe. It is the best way to keep golden brown

i'm tan all year round. i go tanning when its cool/cold outside 3-4x a week. if its nice out, i'll hit up the beach on the weekends. love to be tan, makes you look healthier!

I lay on the beach for two hours almost everyday after my noon swim. Not only do I tan but I get some socializing done before going home for my nap.

i use tanning beds...great for an all over tan
don't like to lay outside for too long...plus i never get the chance.

Summer- beach baby nothing like laying on the beach with your girl, and nothing but ocean in front of you. I miss the sumer already.

:(

Fall Winter Spring, time to hit the beds(i get worried though after all these years, but hey I check myself) Also use instant tanning foam on my face for an even deeper tan. Gets you golden and dark. Also try an intensifyer with TINGLE, will make you like you were at the beach all day.

:kaioken:

im the whitest white boy you'll ever see. Anyway i went to the beach like once this summer and the tan i got lasted like a month and a half and i hardly left my house b4 7pm

tanning bed most of the time...in summer, the sun sometimes...but i go to the tanning bed about 2-3 times a week, depending on my work schedule and how busy i am...

i too, tan very easily and very dark...

I go to the tanning bed about once a week fo about 20 minutes, except in the summer. In the summer I am outside so much, that I don't need to go to the bed.

I used to be a painter, and still do it for extra cash sometimes. I just paint outside in shorts. 10 hours in the sun a day fries my ass good.:D

I'm thinking about hitting the beds, but Ive never been to one before.
Do you wear sunscreen?
I dont want to be very dark, so would 10-15 min a week be good?

I use a 200 watt bed with uvb bulbs... more browing less burning... supposedly decreases the chances for melanoma, but hey who are we kidding... works wonders tho... much better than the old lay down beds that are 160 watt.

Rich

I THINK RICH MEANS UVA BULBS AS THEY ARE THE ONES THAT WIL NOT BURN YOU. THE COST FOR THESE BEDS IS MORE BUT AFTER YOU GET YOUR BASE TAN OR DESIRED LEVEL THEY SAY YOU NED GO ONLY ONCE A WEEK IN THEM. SOME BED NAMES ARE SUNBOARD AND ULTRBRONZE. YOU NEED TO ALSO ALWAYS USE A GOOD TANNING LOTION TO HELP YOU OUT. IT MAKES A WORLD OF DIFFERENCE. THAT OXSORALEN I WAS TAKING WORKED GRAT EXCEPT I FOUND SEVERAL NEW LITTLE BROWN SPOTS ON MY SKIN AS MY MELANIN INCREASED SO MUCH. BUT NOT BIG ENOUGH TO BE NOTICEABLE. BY THE WAY I MADE A PORNO TAPE TONITE WITH A GIRL.

I use Au Courant Bronze face gel on my neck and face in now, and go tanning about once every 12 days or so for my body with the facelamps off....the au courant shit makes me look crazy man, all glowy and shit, it's awesome...catches people's eye.

Nice Dark Tan Highlight Muscles
So i keep tanned anyway
Tanning Beds, Pools, Beaches whenever i can , And Chemical too (topical skin).
The only one i haven´t already trued is canthaxatin.

Ultrabronze tanning beds for me and in between, so laying out in the sun. I also use the Mystic Tan booth, where it is sprayed on your entire body.

I wash my car with my shirt off and surf, those usually are enough

In the winter it's the tanning beds for me .. (unless I am lucky and go on a vacation) ..

Summertime it's both .. depending on the weather .. I find the actual sun will make me red sometimes, where as the beds never do. I don't have a preference really .. they both do the job!:)

regular tanning... in the sun, never seems to work for me, and i go surfing all the time for numerous hours (lately up to 5). I use SPF 30 sunblock usually. Whats going on?

You're using spf 30 sunblock. Get some sun tan lotion instead.

ill try some.. does it matte what brand i get ? some are like 4 dollars and some 8 dollars...
theyre like all spf 4(or 8). LOL..weird

Some of you are going to have terrible skin later on. I want to look like I'm 30 when I'm 45.

Apparantly the best way to keep a tan is to exfoliate less frequently, or not as intense. Also to take as cold a bath as you can bare when washing.

Tanning beds are generally unhealthy. Whoever says they're safe is lying to both you and themselves. It doesn't take many visits or severe burns to transform the cellular structure in the epidermal layer. Dermapathologists can certainly link frequent tanning to severely dysplastic nevi development. However, this doesn't mean and MM will develop in an irregular nevus, because it can occur an in already present mole.

The safest way, as some of you know, is to use a tanning solution to darken your skin. Then when you actually visit the beach or wherever it is that you're going, you should apply a sunscreen to block harmful rays. You'd be surprised by how many people of dark and fair complexions ultimately discovered they had melanoma from tanning. The benefits just don't outweight the negative end of things.

I get a tan by using Melanotan!!

It's the ONLY way to get a tan if you want to avoid the sun. I get an even tan over my whole body, and it looks completely natural. People always ask me if I was outside or something, I just tell them I was doing yardwork. Melanotan rules because it simply makes your body produce more Melanonin, just as if you'd been standing out in the sun, but without the damage of UV rays.

Sadly, it's still in clinical trials so you need to order the Peptid from a private synthesis company. It costs me about $200 for a years supply. Once they pass clinical trials (being done in Austrialia right now) then it should be available as a presciption drug from your dermatologist. Until 2006, Enjoy those UV Rays!

how about just being outside or any number of reasons.
to get tan, I either:
Lay on my roof
go for a walk/run
Swim
Play basketball out in the sun
etc.

**Edit**
goddamn, this thread is like 3 years old

ways to be careful for skin cancer

1. check to see if its in ur family history
2. dont over do it..always put on sun BLOCK when out side (30 on face 15 on body)
3. tan outside but dont lay out over 1-2 hours in direct sunlight
4. when tanning indoors.. if u do go, go every 3rd day and put a tint of sunblock on ur face and nose (do an .5 hour before bed time) but u still can use bronzer lotion for indoor use
5. get skin checked 2 times a year
6. best way to tan is with light amounts of tanning and solid self tanner

I tan all year round, and take whatever natural sun I can get in the summer on top of that, without the beds my irish skin goes red as a tomato all summer

Generally good tips but just in case you didn't know, the SPF 30 means it lasts twice as long as the 15, so unless you're going to be outside quite awhile you can stick with the 15 on your face too.

I've simply graduated to using nothing but fake tanner on myself (quality, realistic brands) and I always use sunblock before going outside. My skin tone is great and (more importantly) it will stay great when I'm much older.

i stroll over to Central Park, tear all of my clothes off and then chase female joggers, rollerbladers and loungers for allllllll the hours of the day!!!!

they love me!

What fake tanner brands do you recommend?

I like Paula's choice, but apparently the Au Courant line is really good stuff.

My grandfather was recently diagnosed with skin cancer. So no more being outside all day, every day in the summers without sunscreen (I've NEVER burnt in my life) and fake baking in the winter for me. I have a good sunless tanner and I've only laid out 20-30 min here and there this summer (plus the weather has been sh!t)...I walk 4 miles a day but throw on some sunscreen before, and spend a lot of free time sitting on my nice shady porch.

Clinique has a great line of sunless tanner products. I used just the face one every 3 days to give myself some colour all winter, and also use the body one too in summer.

can italian people get skin cancer? my skin is naturally pretty dark, and gets even darker in the summer. i've never been sun burnt, so would it be possible for me to get skin cancer?

YES everyone is a candiate

even the brothas can get it but less of a chance... u should get checked 2 times a year just to be on the safe side (skin cancer caught early is easy to stop)

a generel family doc is good to see..if he sees some thiong that is questionable he will refer you a specialist (dermotoligist)

as always Debaser is on the money :)

but i go with spf 30 since it is already in my mourning moisterizer... also the desert sun is B*itch

and i play alot of golf too :)

Hint:

For most of us Mystic isn't going to cut it. I tried it and it never lasted cause:
1) I sweat a lot. Two workouts a day.
2) I shower a lot. After each workout.

If you don't workout and shower once day, Mystic might be a good deal; otherwise it's a poor value.

I used to be an avid tanning bed user. now i use self tanners. Much better for my skin

last week before Xmas day I got my very first fake tan
wow looks amazing, people did not recognize me and I got fantastic responses

i am looking at investing in an Airbrush Spray Gun for Tanning....they cost a lot but they are worth it!!!

:)

tanning is getting ridiculous. and i'll be honest here, i've tanned before. but i mean when you're white with blonde hair and dark as fuck in the winter.. come on, everybody knows. i love in the summer when i get a base tan from being outside but trying to stay tan year around is not worth the effort. the money you spend on either lotions/beds/or mystic is just to keep up a fasaad. not to mention the real beds are horrible for you. you may not like what color your skin is but scientifically we are born with what's best for us. when we go trying to change cell structure especially through radiation we are possibly just shortening our lives, for what? to have a few shades darker skin? and i'm completely not being judgmental either, i've gone through the same shit.. it just seems in the end it's not worth the downside just so you won't be a little pasty in the winter. when i was the darkest i've ever been i talked to one of my moms friends who is a dermatologist and he asked me if i tanned and i was like yea, and he just looked at me like i was fucking insane. you dont understand how many people come in with melanoma or other things that could've been avoided. trust, you won't be lookin too hot if you're goin through chemo.

hmm just laying outside, hitting the beach is the best way for me since apparently beds cause cancer but i guess direct exposure to the sun for a long period of time could as well in the long run

I'm surprised no one has mentioned canthaxanthin, doesn't work though if your subcutaneous fat is nil. Also have to worry about orange palm and soles of the feet if you supersaturate.

Once your saturated tho, a couple trips to a tanning bed and you look like a Caribbean God(ess)

I've never gone tanning in a tanning bed, etc. My skin is naturally a bit tanned (even when I'm not tanned, I'm not THAT pale) and I tan very easily when outside.

Funny thing is that back in the UK our summers last about 2 weeks on average so when the sun does shine and it's actually warm enough to remove clothes then everyone is tanning themselves. Pale loose skin everywhere, people stripping off in their lunch hours to absorb any sunlight. Nobody bothers with protective cream because there's just not enough time to do it that way, you got strip and burn and do it quick because it's a long wait till next summer and you wanna get a little brown before your 2 weeks in Ibiza.....

Now I live in a city that has the hottest average temperature year round in the world and I hardly ever go in the sun, it's just not done. With skin like mine it's takes weeks of sunbathing with high factor protection to tan and although I'll admit that it makes me look healthy it just not worth the effort. A week after being in the sun it washes off anyway.

Which Au Courant sunless tanner should I use for my face? I don't want to turn orange. Thanks

Be sure to stay away from anything that has keroten or citrus acid. those get you orange.
Look for DHA- DiHydrozyacetone.
It turns you a golden brown colour.

Also, avoid using franced soaps and lotions before using any sunless stuff.
Hope that helps.

With mystic tan it works well, except on dry areas, like if you lift and your hands have any dry areas, more tan seeps into your skin and those areas turn darker, most sessions are 10-15$ last a week-10 days

hmm i just read in men's health that if you wanna maintain your tan.. you should moisturize your skin everyday after your tan. cause if your skin sheds, your tan goes as well.

i don't tan in beds anymore my skin is so shot from that..i use aerotan by sex symbol the color is awesome

Your all so lucky.
I have sensitive skin and have moles on my body that I need to get checked incase they get cancerous.

I will never be tanned :(

I boght a home HPLV spray tanning kit...it has dht that tans you..I say out of the sun unless I have sunblock and out of tanning beds alltogether...health reason and it will make you look old before your time.

I recently have read about a peptide which you inject and it actually increases the amount of melanin in your skin. It dosen't work on albinos but everyone else can get as dark as they want without going in the sun. I'll find the article and post it soon.............nf

Here is the article.
Here's a refresher of info about MT-2 works for newbies:

MT-2 is new biotech peptide. It was discovered at the biomedical researchers
at the University of Arizona in the late 90's, but only recently has
knowledge been available for how to synthesize the peptide, and only certain
peptide synthesizer corporations have the sequence and tech to do so.

MT-2 is state of the art biotech and there is no other substance in the
world that will increase melanin (skin pigment) production in humans. This
is the only substance that will actually induce a tan in people. You DO NOT
need any UV exposure to tan with MT-2, but it does expedite the process.

There have been nearly 100 scientific papers written on MT-2 from various
universities around the world (nearly half are American) corroborating
indisputably it's ability both to tan and as among the most powerful
remedies for ED in existence. Go to pubmed or any other biomedical database
to read these or I will post them as I often do if requested (with links to
adduce information).

HOW IT WORKS:

MT-2 is a chemical analogue of a something the body naturally produces
called alpha-Melanocyte Stimulating Hormone (a-MSH). A-MSH is what induces
skin cells called melanocytes to produce melanin -- the pigment that tans a
person's skin and is reponsible for the various colors of skin around the
world in humans.

MT-2 outcompetes a-MSH for binding to melanocyte receptors in humans and
other mammals b/c it has a binding affinity over 1000x more potent than
a-MSH. Therefore only milligrams are needed to do what would normally take
lots of a-MSH to do.

When you are exposed to UV rays (whether tanning bed or sunshine) your body
produces more a-MSH, hence the eventual tan. However, genetically pale
people fall into one of two categories. They either do not sufficiently
produce enough a-MSH, or their melanocytes have a weak affinity for a-MSH.

MT-2 overcomes both of these limitations. Anybody can get as dark as they
like with MT-2, it is simply a matter of dosage - the more the darker you
will get. The tan is 100 % real, so it fades as slowly as a real tan once
you stop using (3-4 weeks average).

The only people MT-2 will not work for is pure albinos -- they're melanocyte
receptors have zero affinity, thus even MT-2 simply cannot bind and hence
they have no skin pigmentation. MT-2 will work unequivocally for everyone
else, even very pale redheads who are normally least successful in the quest
for a tan. Red heads can get as dark as hispanics using MT-2, and this is
not at all an exageration.

MT-2 does not affect hair color nor eye color, however it does in some
people darken facial hair.

HERE'S INFO ON USAGE AND STORAGE (IMPORTANT):

I order direct from a peptide synthesizing facility and have this access b.c
I work in proteomics.

When ordering, if confused about anything, ask as many questions as you
have. You need to be properly informed in the storing and usage of peptides
-- they denature rapidly if you mishandle them. I will carefully walk you
through the whole process of using if you're new to MT-2.

If you order 30 mg (which is a sufficient amount for a first-time beginner
cycle) You will receive your 30 mg of "lyophilized" (it means
"freeze-dried") MT-2.

Put two vials in the freezer (deep freeze if you have one) -- DO NOT
RECONSTITUTE (reconstitute just means "mix" with bacteriostatic water) these
vials. Just freeze them as is.

Then with the vial you are going to be using, reconstitute (mix with
bacteriostatic water).

NOTE: Bacteriostatic water is just purified water with an antimicrobial
agent you can OTC at any pharmacy -- very cheap (2-4 bucks for a year
supply).

To mix the vial with bac water, take one of the your syringes (BD Ultrafine
II 1cc or 1/3 cc are excellent and I recommend them) and take your
bacteriostatic water. If using a 1 cc syringe (100 units) use the syringe to
withdraw 1 full and one half-full syringe-loads (150 cc altogether) and
inject that into the vial of MT-2 through the rubber, resealable tamper
proof lid.

So now you have 150 units (1.5 cc) of bacteriostatic water mixed with 10 mg
of MT-2 in your vial.

Shake the vial for at least 2 minutes to thoroughly mix and let the peptide
defrost -- (normally we use a process called sonification which is more
efficient for this, but you need special equipment -- shaking will work
fine, just do a VERY thorough job for the first time).

Then inject roughly 60 units (.6 cc) of air into the vial so that the vial
is not a vacuum -- otherwise withdrawing peptide will be tricky because of
suction in the vial. Don't inject too much air into the vial, otherwise the
air pressure will push too much air back into the syringe when you try to
withdraw the peptide for injection. Around 60 units usually works fine --
the "units" I'm using as a ref. for injecting are on the side of the
syringes (100 unit = one full syringe).

Now, that the vial is mixed (reconstituted), when you withdraw 15 units of
the substance, that equals 1 mg of MT-2. So 30 units would equal 2 mg. You
get the idea?

Now you're ready for subcutaneous injection. If you've never performed sub-q
injection before, it's very simple, and done right, you literally don't feel
anything. The needles used for sub-q injection are extremely small (8 mm)
and you only go in 5 mm or so -- just into fatty tissue beneath skin. NOT
intravenous or intramuscular which is a bit more complicated. I'll send you
a PDF file if you like from the National Institute of Health (USA) detailing
sub-q injection. there's pictures and everything. I assure you it's
extremely easy. Certain diabetics perform sub-q injections with the same
tiny needles you'll be using two-three times a day.

You can use the same syringe you used to add the bac water to the vial for
your first injection. But never use the same syringe twice on yourself --
this is a universal rule no matter what you're injecting. Syringes and
bacteriostatic water are extremely cheap and you can get them OTC at any
pharmacy like London Drugs, Pharmasave, etc, and you do not need a
presciption.

You will store the reconstituted (mixed) vial in your fridge -- NOT your
freezer like the others.

I recommend 1 mg of MT-2 injected twice per day for the first week or so.
One morning injection, one evening. Remember, you will experience some
nausea most likely for the first 2-4 days. It's nothing to be alarmed about,
it's perfectly normal. Your body is simply finding a new homeostasis as it
acclimates to the peptide in your blood. Your body adjusts within 2-4 days
at the latest and you will never have any nausea again -- unless you come
off MT-2 for a long time (over 2 months) and then resume heavy dosing. So
remember, the nausea is COMPLETELY normal and entirely goes away.

The harder and more frequent erections as a side effect however will persist
for as long as you are taking MT-2. MT-2 is more powerful than viagra in
this regard, and a few pharm companies are making an analogue version of
MT-2 called PT-141 to treat ED in the future.

After a week of 2 mg per day dosing you can taper down to 1-1.5 mg once a
day until desired shade of tan is achieved. From there, maintenance dosing
is minimal. I usually just use 1 vial over 10 days and then take 2-3 weeks
off completely, and then repeat. Others use 1-2 mg every 5-7 days -- but
that is difficult when you're using 10 mg vials -- if you want to go this
route I will instruct you on it -- the other dosing method is much much
easier.

Remember, the lyophilized MT-2 (freeze dried) will last in your freezer for
1 year. But once mixed with bac water, the MT-2 will only last for about
10-11 days -- AND YOU MUST STORE THE RECONSTITUTED MT-2 in the REFRIGERATOR
-- NOT freezer. Freezing and unfreezing the peptide repeatedly is very bad
for it and degrades it rapidly. You want to keep the temperature stable.

VALIDATION:

I have High Pressure Liquid Chromatography and Mass Spectometry datasheets
for anyone who would like them. They can be shipped with peptide. We will
soon have Ion Spectometry too for those interested. All free of charge and
third party tested @ peptide sythensizing corporation.

Hope you enjoy! :)

been using Melanotan II for the past 3 weeks, look very dark, very happy with the results. Cialis doesn't have shit on this stuff!

Been on MT2 @0.5mg ED for 17days. I tanned in a regular bed once (not a high pressure bed). I have great color now. I might drop down to a maintenance dose soon of 0.5mg 1xW. No negative sides just great wood. I hope that one doesn't go away. Plus it's inexpensive and comes with no tan lines/blinding white ass.

Your skin has a better melanin response. Pure White people can get a nice tan too but at a slower pace. They need to start with little exposure, day after day avoiding redness; after a couple of weeks skin becomes gold, then brown.

I have been researching melanotan II for a month before deciding to purchase, and I have not seen one report of orange color. I did see reports of darkened or increasing number of moles and of some folks with eye problems not definitively connected to melanotan, but no orange. I know older "tanning pills" turned people orange - not the same thing as MT II.

I'll be starting next week!

^^hahha i started using mtII like 3 weeks ago .. bro this stuff is the real deal.. gettin tired of people askin me why im so tan or dam im turning black.. IMO nothing comes close to this .. ive laid out 1 time since purchase and the next day i was prob 2 dark ... my face was almost blackk .. simply amasing stuff
