How do you enter a MMA fight?

WhiteDragon said:
I'm sorry if I have come off as arrogant. Like I mentioned before I just want to test myself. How do I know what needs to be worked on unless I fail or hopefully succeed?

In all honesty when I do ground work in my school we do hit pressure points and even ones in the neck to a certain degree. I know that's not allowed and I wonder how I'll do knowing that.

Maybe I'll get the crap kicked out of me, it's not like it'll be the first time. Then again getting up after getting knocked down is much more important than never getting knocked down at all.

On another note, thanks again 1392477. I will send her an email and get in contact with her.

OMG , Im SO not talking about you , bro . You asked a SIMPLE question and got a BUNCH OF CRAP in response . I think its Great to have other CMA guys taking to them out there , just as long as you know what your in for .

Back to the topic, I would say get with the amature mma promoters and see how you fair first. Alot of the amature fighters are very talented, and their are also those new to the sport. A promotion called Cage Of Honor is a awesome place to start! They are based in Missouri and actually have two levels of amature fights. And as soon as Missouri becomes a pro legal state, they will have a pro series also. Check them out.

They have fighters comming from all over the Country, that can give you an idea of the kind of organization they are. Check out their reviews by mma news site ground n pound. www.groundnpound.org

man i wish you the best but don't think you realize what you are getting into. don't get me wrong, i'm sure with the right training you could get up to speed, but if you are just looking to test yourself i think you will be fucked! please let us know if you get anything lined up.

I would think CMA people don't do MMA because they are one dimensional and suck ass.

Right Djimbe?

At first I thought you were kidding but after seeing the other posts I guess not. So do you train in any martial art? Have you ever fought anybody ever? Also, in all honesty I saw the video and there were plenty of times that Djimbe could have just pounded that guy and that would have been the end of the fight. That was just a training video which doesn't mean anything when it comes to fighting.

There is supposed to be MMA in Middleton Mass in Setember. It should be a great return to the Ring. Training since january and I am going in to win as everyone else is I would hope. It all about the fun.Gotta love fighting legally and with no hard feelings. Ergogncs.

yes the gracie academy in torrence still maintains as open door policy as with matt serra's school, gracie humaita in brazil and carlson's academy. or chute boxe in curitiba (heh heh heh ). good luck.

or you can always fight kimbo in a 30 minute bare knuckle blood bath...

LOL, Yeh chute boxe would be a good idea i hear theres some guy called Vanderlay or something, I heard he used to fight in the real Vale Tudo matches, i doubt he would mind fighting you with no rules. I don't know what he does now though.
