How do I achieve maximum inch loss in 10 days?

Hey there.

I think this is my first post on this board - I've been lurking for a while reading things everyone else has had to say, but I finally thought I'd get out there and ask my own question.

As the subject of this post says, I'm looking to lose the absolute maximum inches in the next 10 days. Before you ask, I'm not someone who's just decided 10 days before a big event that I need to start working at it.. I've been on a weight loss plan for 2 years now, and finally 7 months ago found something that worked for me and have lost 62lbs. Recently though I discovered T-Tapp and decided that inch loss, not lb loss was the way for me to go.. and lo and behold, after a 14 day BC everyone was telling me how great I looked - they never did that along the way to 62lbs loss!. Of course, before T-Tapp I was a frantic exerciser.. At the gym daily but mainly cardiovascular work done of the machines like cross trainer, treadmill and bike.

Anyway, in 10 days time I leave the UK for Japan. I'm going there on a month long part research part vacation trip.. Anyway, obviously I'd like to look great for this.. especially since I have a habit of liking to wear very small PVC clothes - I guess you could call me a goth, or visual kei freak if you know the term! I have been working really hard so this isn't me being last minute.. but..

Basically I was wondering if anyone here could give me any advice as to how I can lose the maximum inches (especially around the waist, hips and thighs) and generally just make myself look fantastic in the next 10 days - actually I'm going shopping in a week for new clothes, so some loss by then would be good! <laughs>

A little info about me.. I am 5'8" and currently weight 178lbs and my measurements are as follows :-

Waist : 31"
Hips : 37.5"
Under chest : 31.5"
Bum : 42"
Thighs : 24"
Above Knee : 17.5"
Calf : 15.5"
Upper Arm : 12" + 12.5"

I have another 15-20lbs to lose I think to reach my goal, but as I mentioned before.. I'm going more for inch loss now so am not standing on the scales so much.

My food intake over the last 7 months has been low carb and meal replacement - i.e. 2 high protein low carb shakes a day and 1 low carb meal (basically a piece of fish (I don't eat meat) and veg). Of course, there's been the occasional slip up.. but thats roughly been it. I'm currently trying to slowly incorporate carbs back into my plan because when I get to Japan I'll be on a traditional japanese diet of protein + carb (probably tofu + noodles!).

Okay, I think thats everything you need to know. If you do need to know more, just give me a kick. I'd really be glad of any help you could offer. Oh, in case I didn't mention it.. I'm not looking to get bulky, but to develop long lean muscles and well.. lose inches and plenty of fat (because, of course thats the main problem!)! Thanks again.

EDITING to say that exercise wise, I have access to a very good gym with bikes, cross trainers, treadmills and steppers and a wide range of weights machines, various classes and a swimming pool in case any of these things will help!

in 10 days.....the best you can hope for is to shed any extra water you are carrying around....which may not be very much especially if you are on a low carb type diet.

try doing a search on it....and don't over do it.

if you don't exercise, doing so might help to tighten up some areas visually....but in 10 days it really isn't realistic.

overall, any results you may see, probably won't be dramatic.

Well, it was primarily exercise I was talking about anyway, with a minor focus on eating the right things to give my body the "perfect canvas" to lose inches. And I think in 10 days anything's possible since I lost 3 inches around my waist and hips in 14days. I just wanted to know what the most effective way to keep that kind of loss up.

As for water, well.. I gain water weight at the drop of a hat. Right now I feel I am holding a bit so I know I can lose that.

Hi fellow UK goth here.

As they said, 10 days isn't enough to make any noticeable difference - if you cardio yourself into the ground you will lose muscle, not fat. Which I presume you don't want. since you're posting here, I assume you want to keep the maximum amount of muscle.

Your stats sound pretty good to me.

If you're planning on wearing some of those tiny cyberdog outfits, rest assured that at a 31 inch waist, you will fit into them, my waist is a bit bigger and they still fit me (albeit not as flattering as they used to be!).

The thing to remember is no-one is looking at your hips or stomach, they are busy looking at themselves in the mirror, or checking out your hair (extensions? bunches?). Since at 5ft8 and a 31 inch waist I doubt you are carrying much extra weight, I'd just go ahead and wear whatever you want.

watch your sodium intake... Be weary of most condiments, and frozen foods. Low sodium, and lots of water will clean you out. This will reduce your water retention, which is the best you can hope for in losing inches in 10 days.

Circusgirl : Hehehe.. did you not look at my measurements? I;m carrying loads of extra weight, or so it looks to me. Still, I can tell I'm much smaller than I used to be. And Cyber Dog.. ooh, have yet to buy anything from there. Right now I'm in some punkyfish trousers which are size large, brand new and fit well.. so I'm hoping size large in most camden shops should do it for me. Its moreso that I don't want the fat poking out the sides of the trousers! <laughs> In the future I want some PVC hotpants, so you can see where I'm aiming! And yeah, I do have some funky extentions or just leave my nearly silver blonde hair down (had it every colour of the rainbow, but was threatened that it would all fall out if I kept bleaching it! Lucky I'm a natural blonde so it doesn't take too much effort to get it super light!). You've made me feel better though now since you know the kind of clothes I'll be wearing and think I'll be okay!

Hinson4 : I actually have just started watching my sodium intake. I hold a lot of water weight, so I've been avoiding salt, caffeine, carbs and other such killer water retention foods. I drink around 5 litres of water a day so I'm doing okay with that.

Luckily, doing T-Tapp means I know I'll lose another couple of inches from around my waist hip/area because simply its an incredible workout. Thanks for the advice though!
