When was the CIA reorganized, and when did the govt create a "HOMELAND SECURITY" branch?

who was in office to approve of such a government front such as the homeland security branch to allow such stupid things like the Patriot Act to passs?

Homeland security was formed primarily by mixing and matching people that were already in place.

In Washington, there are people who outlive specific administrations -- the beurocrats. There are also people who come and go with administrations -- the appointees. My point is that this guy may not be a political appointee, but rather he may have come with the furnature several administrations ago.

For example... if this guy turns-out to be a 12-year washington veteran, does he automatically become Clinton's fault?

There were no "mixing" and "matching" that took place. GWB and his cabinet members hand selected the major members of Homeland Security, and those members chose who would work for them. In other words, g dubb picked the bosses, the bosses picked the employees, G Dubb is still responsible for who the employees are.

1st, he is a public employee and they state neither democrat nor republican. It may be a new department, but these employees, especially at that age, have been around for years. Why you ASSume he is a republican?

2nd, when does STING become Entrapment? Admittedly this was clearly a STING, he was on line at the time with what he thought was a younger "girl". But, I think law enforcement oversteps it's bounds too many times to entrap people that would not, under normal circumstances, give the information or do what they get busted for.
