Yes I want to carry around 20 extra pounds of weight while I go deep hiking into the wilderness. Not to mention the size of a rifle.

I'm talking hardcore camping here, not some 'bring a camper with tv and bed' stuff you are use to.

Packing lightly is key.
Jesus, you want to kill a bear with a handgun?

:lmao:

Are you sure you are a country boy?

Not a bear, but I do carry a side arm with birdshot in it for snakes when I am hiking or camping.

Nearly all the time an animal (even a bear) will flee with the sound of a gun. The bullets are there as an extra deterent.

However I do not carry a handgun to shoot the bear....I just shoot by buddy in the leg then take off running. I'm sure he doesn't sacrificing himself to save me. :p

Remind me to keep one chambered when hiking with you.

So what are we talking about

1. The stalking
2. The dorm fire
3. The shooting

I am referring to the shooting itself. if the stalking and the dorm fire were considered "terrorist" then they would have been taken more seriously at the time and charges would have been brought against him at that time. Did anyone call the staking or the dorm fire "terrorism" at the time... NO

The fact is the sources that you post don't call this a terrorist attack either.

The second issue is his mental state. So now we are calling anyone who commits an act of violence "terror" even if he was in need of mental help???

I'm sorry but I don't agree with your very broad definition of terrorism. Hell any act that another person questions could be considered terrorist if that were the case.

Hell we're all terrorists!

Did you ever piss anyone off
Then you're a terrorist by that definition

ter·ror·ist (tĕr'ər-ĭst)
n.
One that engages in acts or an act of terrorism.

adj.
Of or relating to terrorism.
http://www.answers.com/terrorist&r=67

ter·ror·ism (tĕr'ə-rĭz'əm)
n.
The unlawful use or threatened use of force or violence by a person
So any assault could be terrorism right??
or an organized group against people
The police are terrorists as well? They shoot, tazer, and sick dogs on people unlawfully
or property with the intention of intimidating or coercing societies or governments, often for ideological or political reasons.
So any political or religious debate that gets heated for instance is terroism as well

His birth place does not make a diffference - I did not even mention that in my post.

Clearly I would have vastly disagree with you.

I would consider terrorism politically or ideologically driven. This was a mass murderer and not a terrorist.

I'm not sure if gun laws would have made a difference, honestly. Maybe the carnage would have been less if he didn't have such EASY means to carry out an impulse? I'm not sure.

I just don't like how the facts are being misconstrued. At least state the real facts, people.

I can live with that.

We can just agree to not agree - it's nothing personal - I hope you didn't take it as such.
