of course it's possible. Most guys are pretty serious in the gym. If I find a girl drop dead gorgeous, I won't spot her or pay attention to her because it will only distract me and I need to concentrate on my lifts. If I don't think she's attractive or "my type", I'll give her spots and won't think nothing of it.
