i never liked the old imperial japanese for one reason:

u should see what they did to the defenseless chinese. us soldiers at least fought and killed.

torture, rape, genocide, etc. i can't blame truman for bombing them to smithereens. it completely changed the whole attitude of japan when ur cities are being blown to smithereens.

now japan is a big lush. the new generation is soo far removed from what their grandfathers did. many don't even wanna hear about it. they're ashamed.

lotsa bad things happened in the past. thank god we're all economically dependent on each other, and live in each others countries - so war is now impossible.

i took a grad level class about japan and ww2, post.
very interesting, esp the conflict between history and what japan wanted to remember as history.
some modern day japenese poly dudes don't wanna hear about comfort wimmenz, or the rape of naking, or other such shit...so they don't include them in their history books.
