Here goes nothing...Progress pics that are LONG overdue.

Okay....first things first...I'm about 15-20lbs away from my goal, but I figured I would post these up to get some constructive criticism from you ladies! I've been dieting for only a week now and I'm trying to stay motivated. I'm hoping that you all can help me do that.

Now, keep in mind that I am mostly a strength athlete so I am a bit large/bulky...LOL. I know I am holding water but also keep in mind that the lighting sucks and I actually have quite a few good cuts...especially in my quads.

Anyway, fire away...I'm up for whatever you dish out! :)

I know I have a thick waist and my biceps suck along with a number of other things...but hey....if I was perfect I'd have nothing to work on! :lmao:
 
I hope you don't mind me jumping in here NF. You look great.....if you say you're still 15-20 pounds away, your physique will look fantastic at that time.

I don't think those shorts and top do justice to your body....they don't enhance your proportions which are actually quite good.

Your back is excellent as are your legs. From the rear, your waist actually looks quite narrow.....you have excellent width which is a plus.

Your big advantage is that you have long legs and a short torso with good width........prerequisites for a beautiful physique.

With some specific bicep and tricep work you're well on your way. Given that your training is strength specific, you have alot to be proud of. Congrats on what you've achieved thus far.
 
You're looking nice and solid. You've got some yummy hams there girl...makes me want to get out the eggs and frying pan. ;) I bet once the diet kicks in, your biceps will show up more too. Remember to keep the protein intake high when you're cutting!

I totally agree with vinylgroover and MrsPuddles (almost always agree with her on most issues!)....anyway, I think you are being excessively hard on yourself.

And the workout clothing does not do you justice at all.

In any case, I am sure you will be most pleased and psyched when you do start dieting down. Quite frankly, I think your gams are killer -- I have a very long torso and short legs -- and would kill for your lower body.

What diet are you on? And what kind of training are you doing on this diet? Is it just strength training or, or you adding in some other types of cardio?

I am actually taking the cutting diet that brickgirl posted that she used and am tweaking it to fit to my bodyweight/requirements. I was going to use Spatts cutting diet, but I've found that for the amount of time I have right now between working around 60 hours a week and going to school...well...bg's diet is just a little more simple for me. I don't really know if I'm getting enough...or if I'm getting too much nutrition.

I weigh about 173 right now and am 5'5.5" I am mostly doing strength training which with my schedule is only weight training 3x/week, but I'm hoping to change that back to four if I can. Also, I do cardio 3x/week. I was doing an hour, but I think that I can lower that time if I get my diet tweaked.

Thanks you all so much for the input. Keep it coming! I need all the motivation that I can get...whether it's good or bad!
 
You look great NightFly, and you're going to look ssooooo great when you hit your goal. You've made some nice progress I'd say, and I'm really jealous of your shoulders and quads. Since you asked for constructive criticism, I'd say the one area that might need a little more size to balance things out would be your calves, but that couldjust be the pics, or maybe my calf fetish. Either way, you look great.

When are you planning to hit your goal?

I would have NEVER guessed you to weigh what you weigh at the height you say you are. I thought you were much taller. This means that you have HECKUVA LOTTA MUSCLE!!!! Which is ALWAYS a good thing.

Being as how you are not BB or Figure or Fitness athlete don't concern yourself with "perfect" this or "perfect" that. You really have a VERY NICE physique. I agree w/those that posted before me.

When you reach your aesthetic goal you will be a force to be reckoned with ( I RECKON! LOL).... not that I would EVER want to piss you off NOW... I think you would look at me funny and I would *poof* scurry away like the LEEDEL MOUSY that I am!

I can't wait to see future pics...

But, one request.... For the guys, OF COURSE, could we please see BIKINI?!?!?!? :D
 
You look so strong!!!!!

Just be patient and things will happen. Won't take any time at all and you'll notice some changes.

Agree with holding off on increasing the cardio. Let the food work its magic-valerie
 
I am so jealous! I am the same height as you and I weigh 170, but I’m about 32% bf. I wished I looked half as good as you! Now I know for sure that I don’t need to worry about the numbers on the scale to look good. Please keep posting your progress, it’ll help me to stay motivated. ;)
 
Great progress - you look good. Your hard work is definately showing. I agree with BM - you look taller and you hold the weight well. I never would ahve guessed you weigh what you do.

Can't wait to see the end result.
 
I can only echo what others have already said ... You have nice symmetry and size. You look great now and once you cut, you'll be right on ... and will probably know more about which individual parts you need to make minor adjustments to.

I love a great back on a woman!
 
Dayyuummm..you've only been dieting a week? You look great! :) It's also nice to see someone with a similar build as mine. :D

Guuuuuuurrrrrrrrrlllllll, you look strong! I really liked that first pic. Stick with your diet, you'll be so proud of yourself!!! And that's what really counts.
 
amazing pics nightfly!! i had no idea you and i were the same height almost, i've got a 1/2 inch on you. i'd kill for your legs too, i've got the short legs long torso thing going as well. excellent progress!!!

:) I actually have a short torso and long legs for my height! LOL. I wish I had the long torso, though...

Okay...this dieting SUCKS! I keep telling myself...you can't quit...you have to look good for FL in July! LOL. I am really trying to do it this time and you all have helped so much. Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU! :D

The food won't be as enjoyable as it used to be, but you will FEEL much better from eating healthy. For now, needs to be simply thought of as fuel for your body and don't think about your taste buds. Just get it into your stomach and be done with it. You'll also appreciate your cheat meals better this way!
 
funny you say that about food not tasting the same, i seem to have gotton used to eating blander foods so now, richer foods seem to bother me to eat. i guess that is a good thing :)

chocolate still tastes the same tho :p
 
awesome quaddage & lattage! Its always a pain when u first look to get to that "perfect" goal -- but its awesome when u know what u have to work with!
 
Congrats Night Fly, keep it up.

I wish I could get that motivation thing going again. I feel like I am stuck in a rut. I took more pics night before last and It was painful to look at. I am hoping it was the lighting:bawling: . I compared them to pics from about a year ago and I can barely tell the difference. The tape measure tells me different. I feel like I hit a wall. It is really depressing.

I stopped in and weighed myself yesterday...post-op I'm up to 158 and it's not all boobs. GRRRRRRRRR! My belly's so distended I look like I'm a solid 6 mos. pregnant now.

Loves- I don't know if I'm the one who should be motivating you because I tend to struggle with it a lot, but you need to keep that head up, girl! Try changing some things about your workout and maybe try some carb cycling...I've heard that it does wonders for people who have plateaued!

MrsP- ;) You are so cute! Can't quite get everything to come out okay, can ya? hehe... You are beautiful, anyway you look at it! It won't be long before you'll be able to show us your results! :devil:
 
good work, homegirl. you look terrific. i especially like your lower back. it looks tight back there, and you can clearly see the groove the runs right up the middle of it. that's one of my favorite parts on a woman's body. keep it up!

I hear ya sista!! I'm dieting right now also.. But everytime i want to quit.. it tell myself how great i'm going to look in that new skirt i bought i size to small! and how wonderful an pleased all be with myself when its all over....

Noone said it was easy! But you can do it girl... You already have alot of muscle as ive said before and your legs are killer mama killer!

It's in these times, that define us from THEM... :)

keep it up lady i know you'll do great.. Ohh and Florida in July!! hmmmm sounds good!!:p
 
You are doing great. I agree with vinylgroover on everything. I know diet sucks but you have strong will power. I must add I think you are very sexy. :) I dont usually come to the womans board but I am a thread stalker. lol. Great Job.
 
WOW, very impressive, you have alot of muscle! I can't believe you are 5 5? You look like 5 8ish. Keep it up!
