ok guys,,,,,,,,, i need to work on my front delts,,,,,,,,,,so i have been told,,,,,,,,,,,, i want to get the diamond look at the top of your shoulder,,,,,,,,, but i cant seem to get it. Any suggestions on how to really isoloate the front delt.
please help me :-(
 
If you want to really isolate your front delts, front raises work well. 2 other techniques you could use are reverse grip military presses, or (if your gym has one) hammer strength front shoulder press.
 
Don't know what exercises you're doing,
but you might try some of these.
1) machine presses, allows you to come down lower
and stretch the front delts.
2)front db raises for separation
3)upright rows
4)db presses
 
hey thanks guys,,,,,,when i do shoulders i usually do

shoulder press w/db 25lbs
one are front db raises 15lbs
upright rows, smith machine

edge,,,,,,how do u do reverse grip shoulder presses??????????
 
the diamond shape and you are doing front delts?

i would target the lateral head more since it will make up more of the bulk of your delts when exercising it. the diamond shape is just a result of some shoulder development and low bodyfat to reveal the insertion. cut up, if you have some development in the shoulders, youll see it.

Look, your already doin Front Raises with the D.B. So what I recommend is to do them with cables. Do 12-15 reps really intense good form. I gauruntee you'll get what you're looking for!
 
Heavy pressing exercises are the only things that will add enough shape to your delts to give them any kind of triangle or "diamond shape." Front raises, lateral raises, and bent-over raises typically are not going to develop enough muscle to give you the added contour you're looking for. And, as Bignate said, the rest of the equation is low bodyfat.
 
do "glass specials". What you do is grab a light pair of dumbbells because this exercise burns like hell. Sitting down you will start by having your arms by your side. your palms will be facing your thighs. keeping your arms straight, raise both arms up to eye level. Turn your palms so they are facing the ground and then bring in the dumbells till they touch. then move them apart and bring them back to your sides.

Think of your arms going along a window pane. you want to keep the idea of forming a square with the dumbells. THis exercise is good to bringing out your front delts and making you cry.
this is not an ego exercise, use light weights.
