Im about to be a freshmen in college and I really want to start getting my abs to show. I noticed a thread below and it had some good info but I really have no clue where to even start. I dont know what kind of things I should be eating, how much, and when. I have no idea how much cardio I should be doing although I have been doing a lot of crunches and bicycle crunches lately. If someone can get me started I would really appreciate it.

Post stats... age, height, weight, lifting history, eating patterns, an example of your daily diet... anything u think many be helpful for people here to help you.

And... it would be a great service to yourself if you would read more on here to educate yourself as well, so you can then experiment with different theories and options.

Generally speaking, abs are made in the kitchen.

A diet should:
-emphasize whole-food protein sources (and supplemental protein sources at times) such as eggs, chicken, beef, fish, and cottage cheese.
-contain complex carbohydrates such as brown rice, oats, vegtables and berries.
-contains EFA's (essential fatty acids) such as fish oil, olive oil, nuts, and seeds.

Cardio is useful in helping to obtain the abs as it simply burns calories.

But yeah... posting up your current diet and exercise regime would be useful beginning.

BTW; you train your abs in the kitchen orb! That is where you get them, an in the friggin cardio machine

truth. no doubt. but if he doest train his abs HARD AND HEAVY he will have to be at a MUCH lower BF% than need be to see them.

Regardless of training, Pinto is on the money: if you have a carpet of fat over your abs, you wont be able to see them no matter how hard you train them.
