Alright theres this chick that in my class that keeps flirting with me.. and i with her... and yesterday she asked me to come by her room for a bit today. So i went over and we get talking, and we just start kissing... nothing more because she didn't know when her roomate was coming back. Were both really into each other, and shes totally into doing it with me. Here's the deal... she's on the pill, and i've never done it with a chick on the pill. Would it be smart for me to get my blood tested before i do anything? Thanks! Karma for all input.

You can always get your blood tested. But why bother unless you sleep around a lot or feel there's a chance you might have something. Assides from worring about yourself, I'd also be concerned about her.

A blood test would put your mind to ease as to your well being. A condom is a damned good idea. If this turns into more than a casual romp, both should get tested, jsut to be sure. You can never be too careful. The fun lasts a little while, STD's last a lifetime. Have fun, but be smart!

I'm with bitter.....use a condom and if it goes to anything more serious get tested if you are going to use anything else like the pill.

If your interested in a more long term relationship, I'm sure she would be appreciative if you got a blood test (regardless of how many you've slept around). However if its just going to be a one nighter, I wouldn't worry about and just use a condom. BTW Not all STD's can be prevented by condoms ie. herpes and warts so be cautious and maybe do a little pre-inspection of that area before going diving in. Also, HIV can lay dormant for 6 months so if you or your woman to be has been with other people within that time frame, a blood test can't accurately give you a clean bill of health. Keep us updated eh?
