HELP!! Killer headaches every workout

I have just read other people's post

(1) BLOOD PRESSURE:

If it's this, asked to be prescribed ACE inhibitors not Beta blockers. If you take beta blockers in my opinion (I had normal BP and was prescribed for migraines), you may as well quite training. My pulse went into the 30's, and I couldn't do anything. You get dizzy by jumping. THEY SUCK! (I've tried so many treatments, and the only two I'm passionately against are SSRI's (at least for me but I know they help some people) and Beta blockers.

There is also evidence ACE inhibitors improve your body fat. I'm yet to take ACE Inhibitors, but my doctor assured me I wouldn't feel as drowsy on them. I wanted however to have 3 months off prescription drugs to ensure my omega program was a success.

(2) You could get an MRI, but i assure you they will almost certainly show nothing. I've been to 3 neuros, and they basically just say "MRI's rarely show anything, and we don't really under stand what causes your condition, just that it exists"

I had the same thing happen to me about 4 years ago. The next day after a leg workout I got the worst headaches from anything that would elevate my BP or heart rate. It was so bad that when I tried to take a shit my head would hurt to the point it would make me nauseous. Sometimes I'd have to lay on the floor right there in my bathroom.

I ended up going to the doctor and getting an MRI because he was afraid it could be an anyeurism. I asked if I had to because I didn't have insurance and he said well if it is you could die at anytime. I had to think about it for about a second to agree to have the MRI done. The MRI showed that everything was fine in my head, so the doctor prescribed me Propranolol which made all the difference in the world. Almost immediately after taking them the pain went away and eventually the nerve healed itself within a week or two.

The MRI costed me about $2,000 dollars though that I had to pay out of pocket. Damn not having insurance sucks, that hurt more than the nerve.

So propanola didn't make you lethargic? That's exactly what I took. It majorly effected me. This was before I did weights, but I use to run etc back then and, after 3 weeks of beta blockers, couldn't even run 5 km's.

I guess everyone's different.

It didn't have any negative effect on me at all, Just made me more relaxed most of the time. It didn't negativly impact my workouts either, but I also took it more easy around that time.

Thanks for all the responses guys.

I'm going to check my BP at the pharmacy today, but I'm 99% sure now that it's an old neck injury that I aggravated.

I didn't think it was that injury before because I was getting headaches on the whole back of my head, not just the right side (I pulled/tore a muscle on the right side of my neck a while back). However, all last night I had a headache only on the right side of my head, and this morning the right side of my neck is tight and hurts all the way down the side of my trap. That's exactly how it felt when I aggravated it a year ago.

Sadly, the only way I've fixed this in the past is to just stop lifting for a week or two :(. I just REALLY hate to do that right at the peak of my cycle :( :(

Assuming my BP is ok (which I think it will be when I check it today), I'm just going to take a week off lifting, take a few somas, and stretch every day. Hopefully after the week is over I'll be able to go at it again.

good luck bro

Thanks Hayez :)

I just went and bought a blood pressure meter (a nice automatic digital one) and checked my BP. I got 134 systolic/ 64 diastolic. That puts my systolic in the prehypertention range -- nothing too serious -- and my diastolic right in the normal range. That's about where I'm at when I'm not on gear.

That proves it right there that its not a blood pressure thing. Hopefully a week or too off the weights will let my neck heal up and I'll be good as new.

Hey man,
I used to get this bad,esp on legs days but also on other days, made me feel like an idiot cos i couldnt train for shit...i got it to stop but i honestly couldnt tell u how i done it cos there where a few factors involved.
.make sure to breath corectly cos the slight hold of breath can fuck you up.
.sorted my sleep pattern out totally.
.like the other guys say drink more water and have your diet in check.
I done all this and it went away totally, not to sure what the defining factor was though fella..

When it felt exactly like this a year ago, I just stopped lifting altogether for 2 weeks and I was good to go. I've got 6 weeks left on my cycle, so I'm just going to continue with the injects and hopefully finish out the last 4 or 5 weeks of my cycle with no problems. Also I'm already on 2iu per day of GH for fat loss, so for the next two weeks I'm upping the dose to 4iu per day to help with healing.

Increase the dosage man, no pain no gain.

Guys this is really killing my progress. For the last couple workouts I get these splitting headaches in the back of my head as soon as I strain during a lift. First time it happened was at the end of a workout doing hack squats. Now it happens the first lift I do. I'm at my wits end.

I get this pounding pressure in the back of my head. When it first starts it pounds with my heartbeat, then after a while it just feels like pressure in the back of my head. I even tried taking advil or tylenol before my workouts and it isn't making a difference at all. Has anyone had this happen to them before?

First I thought it was the dbol I was taking to kick start my cycle, but I've been done with it for a week already and the headaches are getting worse not better. I'm even having headaches during the day, much lighter ones though.

The test and deca are kicking in full force and I can't even do a full workout because my head starts fuckin pounding. It's really pissing me off.

Anyone have any ideas?
