that the engine starter seems to have given up the ghost. It was really on the verge of starting and stayig on..so I kept giving it a few seconds to catch.
The motor was not used for about four years. There are challenges at this point. Especially when the motor premixes the oil and gas. And the gas has disappeared....just leaving oil.
I finally have a good mixture of healthy oil and gas. It was just about to keep an idle. The the starter quit.
The starter didn't get hot because the attempts were mostly a couple seconds each. I felt it....warm...not hot.
2000 175hp Johnson....nice motor...until today
I put new gas in it...4 gallons
New plugs as well.
Any marine inclined mechanics in da house?
