Help Developing a hernia - in pain

Hey Ladies,

thought maybe you'd could help. I thought i was developing a UTI because i am having this terrible pressure and burning in the pelvic area on the right side just under my lower stomach - kinda where your hair would begin down there....so i went to the gyn....he told me it's not a UTI, i'm developing a hernia -that he can't feel it, but from my reactions with his pressure on the area from the outside of my body and the pain etc...that's what he says it is...he told me to put ice on it to help take down swelling internally which may be adding to the buring pain - but that's not working, I don't know what to do....it gets worse as the day progresses and is its worst at night time...he told me not to do ab workouts, but gave me no other advice. Surgery isn't an option because i dont even have health insurance - so does anyone have any suggestions - this is ridiculous, the pain/burning/pressure is so uncomfortable and it hurts to make love to my boyfriend...so i haven't done it in two weeks...this is a problem....any suggestions on what i can do for the pain or to help it go away or anything, i'm desperate at this point :(

Call Dr. George Keckeisen
631-369-8539
or 631-287-1433

He is awesome - get a second opinion from him, if it is a hernia he can at least guide you in the right direction in the event that you can't have surgery.

I had an extremely rare stomach problem (birth defect) and an umbilical hernia and he was the only doctor able to figure out what the hell was wrong with me and fix it.

The insurance thing could be tricky - talk to his staff when you get there.

I will definitely give him a ring thanks :)
Did you have the same type of pain with your hernia?

Unfortunately yes, same type of pain just a different location (just below and to the right of my button looking down).
