Please Scroll Down to See Forums Below I pre-loaded for my cycle of enanthate. This gear i got is from a different source and is a lot more painful. Before i pin myself i use a blow dryer on the syringe and heat up the enan. When i do this some liquid which i believe is the oil ends up on the outside of the syringe and smells like oil too. Its usual color is light tint of yellow but after i do this it goes quite clear. My question is is am i ruining my gear and its effectiveness by doing this? why is it going clear?

when you say oil ends up on outside of the syringe, do you mean leaking out the needle or soaking through the plastic on the plunger?
and you're saying the fluid goes clear once you heat it up inside the syringe? i would assume since you're lowering the viscosity and spreading out the molecules this is normal, but i could be wrong
why not use a hot water bath to heat up the vial, draw, then inject?

I simply run it under the hot water on tap for a minute or two, this usually lowers the viscosity enough to make for a smooth injection; and it also doesn't heat it up to aggresively super physiological levels either.

What is wrong with rubbing the vial in your hands and using a little friction to warm it up?

Why not try a heating pad? Works well for me
i would worry about the impact of the heat on the rubber.plastic plunger--it may expand and make it harder to press....also heating any kind of plastice causes it to release all sorts of nasty substances (albiet a minute quantity).
when i do the hair dryer thing it is set on warm or medium and the syringe is capped. i have never had any oil come out. i am blowing it directly on the oil in the barrell until i can feel become warm to the touch.
u r not ruining any gear other than whatever u r losing through the needle (which i am having a hard time figuring out why that is happening unless the plunger is being pressed or u got the syringe upside down while u r doing this). gear is baked all the time in the oven at 250 degrees for 30 minutes (for other reasons). we r not even coming close to this with the hair dryer.
the consistency of the oil does change. it becomes more less viscous and more fluid. this is why heating up the vial b4 drawing helps speed things up for smaller gauge needles. the color change is normal.
if u can draw and shot immediately u could use a hot water bath as suggested. but i think the hair dryer works very well for pre-loaded syringes.

where exactly was the liquid coming from (i know inside) but like from out the top of the needle, where the needle screws onto the syringe, through the plunger, or right through the barrel?
the safest bet is to warm the glass vial, draw it, then shoot it. if u get the liquid to come through the glass vial then step slowly away from the torch u r using and.....lol
i have never had a problem with heating the syringe in all this time. almost wish i could witness what u were doing to better help.....youtube time, post up the video...lol.

dont you worry about the bacteria and other filth that gets on the vial and pin with tap water or heating pads?
even if some bacteria from water got on the vial u should not be submerging the vial under water just putting it a small amount of water. so the stopper shouldnt be affected. but we are swabbing the top with alcohol pads everytime we draw (right?) to take care of anything on the stopper.
i would worry about the needle if i was running it under water, even if it was capped. i suppose u could change out the needle or swab the one on it. i dont like this scenario so i dont recommend it. hair dryer on the syringe or vial or a warm bath for the vial but i wouldnt run the syringe under the tap.
