HCG post cyle alone

is there any benefit to taking hcg alone (i mean without clomid or nolva)?
does hcg do anything by itself or does it need clomid to truly carry out its effect?

I would just like to know - not truly considering it, but i cannot take clomid (turns me into a chick) so i am just inquiring.

also i would really like to know what if any benefit JUST hcg would have, so please guys do not just say "if you do not like clomid take nolva" - that is not the point of my question.

I am leaning towards a herbal pct and want to know if throwing in hcg will have any benefit for my recovery.

Using HCG alone would do nothing to prevent the post-cycle crash that all bodybuilders experience after a long HPTA suppressing cycle of anabolic/androgenic steroids. HCG doesnt restart the HPTA, it only mimicks LH thus allowing your testicles to regain size after shrinkage due to a heavy cycle.

On the other hand, Nolvadex/Clomid stimulate production of GnRH which stimulates the pituitary gland to produce LH. Hence, if you were to run an HCG only pct, you wont see a lasting return in natural test production - only another crash.

Secondly, running HCG by itself is fraught with risk. HCG can overstimulate the testicles and you get a surge in natural test production. This can then be followed by nasty side effects like gyno. If youre using Clomid/Nolva in conjunction, you avoid this altogether.

great info Kalsijat! thanks. one questions thought, Big Cat recommends a dose of 3000iu's to start and then another 3000 3-5 days later followed by 1500 a few days after that (something like this...) My point being, everything I have read on this site says to use way less.
any thoughts on dosages?

I think 3000 IUs is a high dosage. Many users report feeling large testicles with only 1500. I think 1500 is a good dosage. Also, I wouldnt recommend anyone using HCG at 1500 IUs more than four times in the space of three weeks (with a gap of 5 days between shots).

How would Teslac compare to Clomid/Nolvadex in conjunction with hcg?
