Just wondering if anone has done some federal time in a low security prison. I'm looking at 1-2 years in a minimal security prison but i'm trying to get into this bootcamp deal which is only 6 months long. I want to know if they have weights and what type of food to expect and how much free time you get. Any info appreciated.

Yeah it was a drug charge, I am eligable for the bootcamp but won't find out till sentencing. I go in april 2nd and have to sit in city lock up till sentencing. I'm also looking into rehab but the guidelines say you need a documented drug abuse problem which I don't have.

If you have a choice go for the boot camp option as it is only 6 months andit is oriented towardsa boot camp army training with no weapons..

It will be a lot in your face yelling and shouting but after a few days you will get adjusted. Dont let your ego get ahead of yourself and get into trouble but rather keep a low profile and stay humble.

I saw a show on TV about their boot camp program ..Not everyone makes it though..

Yeah i'm really gunning for the bootcamp. If I can get through the shouting and spit in my face I can take whatever else they have. I know their whole objective is to strip you down of the way you think. I'm very fit and only 22 so the physical part is no problem. I jsut want to get through this and start my cycle that is just waiting for me.

I just did a year fed time in TX and finished my vop charge w/house arrest(still on). Where I was at was not all that bad. Weights? Yea but minimal. I had protein and creatine i could buy thru commissary. More than anything the bordem will set in and drive you crazy. Try to stay active. You're lucky you are not doing state time. Fed time is the "cadillac" off all prisons. I had a friend do NY fed time. Wasnt pleasant but could have been worse. Good luck and remain independent within the confinements.

It was a pretty shit deal. I'm 22 now and when I was 20 I was in a car where a pretty good amount of x was sold. Well it turns out that the two guys my friend sold to were undercovers. I supposedly touched the bag which connected me. My friend had been dealing with these guys for months and I was not a seller at all. I hooked my friends up but that was it. Low and behold just this past october the dea,nypd detectives,statetroopers, and local authoritys tracked me down and arrested me. I stopped using x and even getting stuff for people well over a year ago now. So when they came to get me I was like what the fuck is this for. They then presented the paper saying they have a federal warrent to arrest me for "conspiracy to sell ectacy". I thought they made the shit up and were trying to get info so I got real mad and said they better have evidence cause I wasn't an x dealer!!!!Turns out they had the whole transaction on tape and I guess they got a major player which made us look worse cause that connected him to us. Also when my brothers came home and they were searching my shit they told my bros that I was a major x dealer, total BULLSHIT....Also, they told me they didn't have a search warrent and that I should let them search my house. I told them go get one cause i'm not gonna let you . So they take me intoo their car and my bros liveing girlfried comes in and they scared her into searching the house. all I had was a nice cycle that they took. They didn't ever mention taken the shit or asking me about it. So since october 10 i've been on pretrial services and april 2nd I go in.

I had a buddy I used to work with get caught up a ton of x got 3 years of fed.. so he is doing programs and going to school to learn and help pass the time.

They made it 15 times more than what it was.. So to brake it down I conspire to sell the equavalincy of 77 kilos of pot. Also the same as over 80 grams of heroin. Also around the same as 90 grams of coke. The only difference i'm charged with a class c felony instead of a A felony which coke and heroin are. So at the weight of 77 kilos I am at a level 15 on the sentecing chart. See our govm. has made it out to a mathematical equation and almost none of the judges go against this. The judge is suppose to look at the chart pick my criminal history and look athe the #15 and pick from that. It really takes away from the judges job and puts the case in the prosecutors hands which is not good since they have every hookup in the system they need to get their way.

It is done like this to make the sentencing uniform. If you had a hardline judge you got alot of time. If the judge was easy going you got less. So to make things fair the have to use this system. Probation also submits it's report(as you already know) but I would bet you will be allowed to stay on the street untill you're sentencing date or you would be in right now.

1mistake is serving fed time as we speak for that exact charge... they convicted him soley on the basis of witness testimony (no posession nor video).

He is serving 4-6.... he was in on the old sentancing guidelines, though...

Actually bigsatean, thats what I thought that I would have a good portion of summer to go through. When I showed up a few weeks ago to enter my plea the prosecutor informed my lawyer that I would be taking into custody. So they adjourned the court date till april 2nd and my lawyer said theres no way around me going in before sentencing. I must be some threat for them to want me in before sentencing.
If i'm not mistaking 1mistake was a much bigger player than what I was. I just don't understand how people get only a few years for thousands and thousands of pills and I get a year for 500. I'm also very pissed one of my ex-friends turned informant and in clear of all charges. Some fucking system we have, if you commit a crime and you give info its okay, if your a man your fucked.

I'm reall not worried about anything happening to me if thats what you mean. It will be a minimal security federal prison. No rapist or murderes in there for life with nothing to loose. Everyone in there just wants to stay out of trouble. I might get in a fight if it came down to it but thats all

The way I think of it is focusing on my body was what kept me off of rec. drugs in the first place. I haven't touched anything juice wise in over 5 months, if I go in for 6-12 months my receptors are gonna be mint. I refuse to let the goverment decide that I can't juice... I do have a close friend who works at a drug rehab who is helping me try to get into a program since his boss has connections with my pretrial office. Deff. hopefully another option to jail
About the federal thing, well even my lawyer totally couldn't believe why its being handled federally. Only reason is NYC drug force has a huge hardon for x lately and closing down all these clubs lately, something to do with NYC mayor cracking down. I was told if I was in a state court I would walk with probation no problem. I also guess we were almost at the bottom of the chain but because of who we got it from it made it alot more serious.

THEN YOU GET TO SERVE YOUR ORIGINAL SENTENCE PLUS PAY THE CONSEQUENCES ON WHATEVER IT WAS YOU HAVE DONE. ITS JUST LIKE A PROBATION. AND USUALLY WHEN YOU FINISH THE PROGRAM, YOU ARE ON PROBATION AS WELL.

They just had an article about prison time in this months issue of Muscular Dev. They listed things to do and places to work within the prison to be able to eat more and workout. That's what I went down for along with about 15 other things. Would you beleive that it didn't end my Police Department career! I quit soon after but conspiracy was plead out to and the other things were dropped.

OK bros I am going to tell you alittle story about the fed system. I spent 71/2 years in with a year and 2 months in jails in the midwest before the sentence started. Got pinched in AZ. for a conspericy with intent charge. aAfter sitting in the Maricopa county for 2 month, I was taken by bus ' deseil therapy" across country to several fedral holds along the way. Stay in them for a bout a week at a time they are the worst part of the fedral system dirty, roaches, food sucks. You eat out of a box, balony celry corrots cereal and milk. before you leave and when you arrive at each place they strip you and look up your ass. I was in Rochester, Sandstone, duluth and Waseca Mn. After I was on paper for 5 yrs. to the day and I was perfect. no dirties had a job all the time. I hooked it up before I left and I could not catch a brake from these phucks. Look you will not get fucked and the food eventually gets better. Find some good bros and hang. Shut the phuck up and listen always cause things are always happening and you need to be aware are you may get hooked up with the wrong people and end up staying. I got a bro that went in with 4 yrs after 12 he is just comming out cuase he wanted everyone to think he was billy bad ass. Every-one just thinks he is stupid. Go to school take all the classes on what ever you can because education no matter what kind will help you when you get out. I came out penny-less and in 7yrs. I am running my own biz. in the aviation industry. I know own several properties. I went in with a Ged from 9th grade. Today is the first day of the rest of your life take advantage of it and do what you can for yourself. The feds ain't no joke, once they get you, if your a fuck up they will try to keep you.
