Nice - what do you mean 2 stages? Drain first time using a little hose, let it sit for another couple weeks? I tried using a coffee filter to get rid of the sediment this time but it was draining way to slow and I'm impatient There wasn't that much to deal to really deal with, last time I wasted a lot more dumping it.
I first strain it into a primary fermentation bucket with a C02 carb for two weeks then strain it into a second bucket adding more sugar and yeast (I like mine strong). Then, after a couple more weeks or until I see my CO2 carb bubbling slow down I strain it into another bucket that has a valve and hose at the bottom. I then fill individual 16oz bottles with a little priming sugar for just a hint of carbonation. After a very long week they should be GTG!
