hamstring curls

I was doing hamstring curls at the gym and they were very awkward and someone came up to me and said that they don't even bother doing them because they already get worked out enough when you do compound lifts. Do they have a point and should I even waste my time isolating my hamstrings
 
i don't often do hammy curls, and yes if you do typical compound lifting they get hit plenty

really they need to be stretched out if anything post workout
