Hey JA, Propecia has worked will for a few people I know...a friend of mine claims that it even regrew some of his hair. I don't think propecia claims to do that, but my buddy obivously has more hair now than before...something to consider.

propecia also has sexual side effects, and I was lucky enough to get them, being on a gram of test and not being able to get it up aint worth it to me

No thanks. I'll stick with the sprays and creams for now. If the situation doensn't improve then I'll look into other options.

Will someone explain to me why Nizoral is good for preventing hairloss? I spoke with a pharmacist today about Nizoral and she told me that it's used primarily for drandruff.

Propecia has saved my hair but at the same time it has screwed my sex drive, I mean big time....luckily my girl is away for six months....lolz.

Good read bro ... I always wondered this as well. I am still not fully convinced though. Here are some notes I did notice in the article.

-"These results may seem to prove that Nizoral A-D works against hair loss, but they really don´t: They merely suggest it. Scientists might be able to get a better idea of how well Nizoral works as a hair-loss remedy if they were to do a placebo-controlled study. That means one group of people would use Nizoral A-D, while another group would use a shampoo that contains no medicine at all."

-"Nizoral A-D Shampoo has met the FDA´s standards as a dandruff treatment, but you will not see the shampoo advertised by its makers as a hair loss remedy. It would be illegal for them to do so, because that has not been proven."

-"There´s no guarantee that using Nizoral A-D will give you a thicker head of hair, but you´ll probably have less dandruff--assuming you have dandruff. If you´ve never had problems with dandruff, then you´re just buying an expensive shampoo for unproven benefits."

Sounds just like there has not been a lot of research done on it yet as a hair-loss shampoo and non-dandruff subjects. Who knows though ... It cant hurt.
