Green Tea For Fat Burning

_jaap_ said:

a carb blocker for only some carbs? Could you clarify a bit more on this?
Would it be a chitsan type action were it forms a bond with a carb making in to large to break down? Cause after they pass the intestinal wall, all glucose would be created equal (well more or less).
Thus green tea would be excerting an effect before the break down of the carbs (thus on the carbs themselves). But also on the cells themselves does tea increase glut-4 response in myocites or is there a different mechanism involved.

Sorry for being so lengthy just interested

Think Low-GI and High-GI, then think outer coating realted as well. The likes of brown rice coating. Of course, not ALL carbs are blocked, just a portion. Mostly low-gi w/ a fiberous coating.

So your saying that the most benificial carbs (low gi/fibrous) are going to be blocked? Kinda sucks.

But anyway im more interested in the nutrient partitioning effect than in carb blocking (the most effective way to block carbs that i've found is not eating them :D).
Carbs arent evil, i want to take in carbs (well at least for 10 months in the year) but i would like them to be used by miocytes more then adipocytes.
Anyway to make a long story short whats you take on glucose absorbtion?

Do you have to drink it in liquid form or are there any good green tea PILLs available?

there is green tea extract, but I would stick w/ the real thing it's probably a much cheaper alternative.

Lol sorry bout that wasnt really being clear i guess. Yes green tea and glucose. As i stated before i remember reading somewhere that tea (i believe all kinds made of tea leaves that is) enhances insulin sensitivity. How much stock do u put in the findings? (btw i cant find the studies myself, stupid pubmed is down :()
