Grapefruit juice

I hear alot of people saying they take their creatine, and other supp's w/ grapefruit juice b/c it causes your body to absorb more. I've read some info on this and it seems to be untrue. Grapefruit juice slows down the production of a certain enzyme that destroys a certain amount of a given medication i.e. cholestorol drugs, anti- depressants, viagra, Thereby limiting the amount of the drug that gets into the system. This is apparently understood by dr's and drug companies and medication doses are calculated to include the effects of this enzyme. Which is why it is dangerous to take CERTAIN meds w/ GFjuice. Can anyone w/ any real knowledge say if this works for supps. And if that is true ...does it work for whole foods as well. I admit my attn span is too short to search the whole damn site, or list of 2 million sites on the subject, but it did pique my interest. This is just what i got from the reading i've done. If this is the wrong place for this post, or if ijust sound like a jackass then feel free to do what you will w/ the post. Thanx
