good protein sources

I have been having trouble keeping my caloric intake up while keeping my required protein balanced. I usually get my protein from chicken, tuna, turkey/ chicken lunchmeats. Does anyone have any suggestions maybe on foods that are a little lower in protein. It seems like by the end of the day I usually overshoot my protein quite a bit. Thanks.

Get rid of your chicken lunchmeat...that stuff is garbage in the first place. Processed lunchmeats are often pumped with water, even if it says no water added, to fill up the package. We all know meat shrinks when it's cooked; to get the most money out of the product they do fill it with crap. Just get rid of that, even though lunchmeat offers virtually no beneficial protein source in the first place. Cut down on serving sizes.

How much protein are you actually getting? I usually get about 16 oz for my main dinner meal @ 5-6:00 at night, and I'm still at a good protein level. You must be eating 30 oz cuts of moose meat or something. ;)

yeah im just now starting to try and get a eating routine in place, and so im kind of unsure. All i have really been eating throuhgout the day is fruits/ veggies and then the chicken, tuna and lunchmeat stuff. I guess smaller portions would be a good start

For a bulk cycle it's good to get 1.5-2 grams of protein per lb of body weight. For me that would be up to about 400 g a day. That's A LOT of meat, I can't even get that much without wanting to puke by meal #5. I'm hitting around 380 g a day. Some guys are getting about 600 g a day, but those are the huge freak beasts.

ok yeah, i think i was just misunderstanding the amount required. Sorry, im kind of new at this. That would explain why the first guy said i must be eating moosemeat.
