Good news of the week for bassturd:
Went to the mall sunday with Alli and K to surprise K with a new ring. Took her inside the jewelry store and asked her which one she liked. She picked one out and the guy behind the counter starts talking about maybe getting his manager to see about a vet discount (i was wearing my unit t-shirt and he was Army)
Manager dude gets off the phone and walks over and calls me by name and shakes my hand. I didn't recognize him at first, but turns out he was a dude I played highschool sports with and was about the only one in the entire school who was nice to the guy. Everyone except me and another friend of mine picked on this guy for 4 straight years.
Turns out the guy is running a jewelry store on weekends, has a masters, 4.0 and dean's list multiple years, works as an accountant and does CPA work and probably comes in around $140k a year total. Guess he stuck it to everyone haha
Anyhow, walked out with a $2300 ring for $1100 lolololol
