I have to say that i generally agree with most of the "myth" breaking. However, as of recently, i have experimented with the knee-toe line. Well, lets just say that i ususally have a lot of knee pain getting up from chairs and squatting - pretty much anything that causes knee flexsion. Now, i squat very low - pretty much until my own body stops me because i felt it put less stress on my knees than stopping at parallell. However, there was still discomfort even if it was less.
BUT, my knees DID go past the knee-toe line. However, i recently read about this knee-toe line and the other day i tried super hard not to cross it.
Well, let me just say that there was NO pain in my knee at all! It was such a beautiful moment. So, i dont know if thats a myth or not.
But, there is one thing to consider:
I AM FLAT FOOTED. This means that my foot doesn't supply great support and this causes stress. This stress gets transfered upto my knees where i it is causes stress [or at least this is what hte Chiropracter tells me]. So, maybe i am in a special place, but for me the knee-toe line seems to decrease pain in my knee.
