sounds like you are putting up a barrier towards intimacy. Perhaps stemming from a dysfunctional family life when you were younger...it appears as if you fit the "hero" profile. You have to always appear right, always appear strong, always win arguments. If you dont do these you show signs of weakness. Intimacy is difficult with you because you feel if you share how you really feel you'd be rejected.

its now about winning arguements.. I just have very strong opinions about marriage and the effect it has on sexual relationships.

When it comes to anything else in life.. I have no problem conceding.

But Ive been married twice and been in more long term relationships than I care to admit.

Id say I have a little experience in these matters.

If you're giving your wife stuff hoping for sex, you'll always end up being disappointed. If I want stuff, I'll buy my own. Give her something she's not likely to buy for herself like a "pamper day" at a spa (well I sometimes buy this, but it's SO much nicer when my husband does) - it's not really that much $$ (esp. compared to a car!) and the whole time she's there she'll be thinking how great you are and she'll come home in a lovely mood. Then there's always the gift that keeps on giving - a vasectomy, because it removes all the worry of pregnancy and bother of birth control which = MORE sex - best present ever (and most of the time insurance will pay for it).

Don't get me wrong we have sex without buying her stuff I was just stating when you buy the expensive stuff you don't get the apportionate amount of sex for the buck.

Gonelifting is right. You do that mushy shit and they love it it always pays off and it is cheap. I was just venting because I spent a good amount of cash on her vehicle without getting a bunch more nukie.
