Ghb/sleep

I am an insomniac and as sleeping is crucial to post-workout recovery I would like to do something about it. Are there any effective supplements/drugs that I can use for bodybuilding purposes?

Will melatonin work? Or should I try and get hold of some benzodiazepenes? (I think these can be addictive in the long term though). Should I stick to using GHB?

I would like a long term solution to the problem - I have tried everything and have even been to the doctor to no avail.

Moderators - feel free to edit this if it's innapropriate:

Btw, I've decided that GHB might be shit - it raises cortisol levels by 67%. I'm not sure if taking an anti cortisol supplement like cytadren or phosphatidylerine would conteract this effect. Also, apparently there are anti-prolactin supplements available (prolactin disables the muscle-building/anticatabolic/fatloss effects of growth hormone). So would taking a combination of these supplements preventing the drug from being catabolic or even make it anabolic? (I really NEED to continue taking GHB, as it is literally saving both my physique and my social life!)

problem is with most sleep adds is you don't get a full nights rest. Seems like I sleep longer, but wake up just about if not more tired and drousy. GHB I have used recreationally and I think as a sleep aid you can find better and less incriminating solutions.

I use melatonin, along with valerian root sometimes. they wont knock your ass out like some drugs will, but you wont become addicted either.

ive used GHB, and valium, and xanax. but i went down hill from there, started takin them to sleep, then relax, then to party, and then before work, and at work, and after. i started drinkin heavily, and everything. it was hard to quit, very hard, but ive cut them all out, beer and all. bodybuildin/powerlifting has saved me.

anyways, point is, stay away, that shit is addictive, and yeah, some can control it, but its so easy to loose control.

for sleep, stick to somethin mild, and non addictive.

GHB gives me horrible sleep patterns and unforgetable dreams if you must try 5-10mg of ambien for no more than 2 weeks.....talk to your doc

We try to keep the subject of GHB off these boards, brings too much attention.

Agreed.... the subject of GHB brings unwanted attention, this kid cant seem to grasp that as this is the second board in 24 hours he's been told ot keep it off the boards.... amazing.

Some have had good results with pure L-tryptophan on an empty stomach (several grams) prior to bed. It's not OTC, but can be found relatively easy through vetrinarian channels online.

I've had great success with inositol hexophosphate + 5htp (Several grams + 100 mg) prior to bed. I like inositol by itself too.

For this kids defense why does GHB bring in more attention than lets say tren insulin or dnp ? I am on this board quite a bit and i miss posts alot. I have never seen anything about GHB being kept off the board.

GHB doesn't let me sleep for shit, if i drink a ton i may sleep for 2 hours, but you can find much better ways to sleep. This post won't be here much longer anyways
