Getting over the Flu and needing re-bound tips...

Hi all,

I’ve been sick as a dog since Feb 10th and have been out of the gym since then. I'm starting to feel better but I know I’m still weak. I noticed running up the stairs this morning winds me.

When the symptoms started I stopped taking the supplements (creatine,l-glutamine, flack seed oil, ephedra/caffeine pills) I followed most good advice of plenty of fluids, vitamin C, lots of rest, etc... I had no appetite but would force myself to eat. I didn’t eat like I was before and my protein intake was probably cut down 75% of what I was consuming before.

I've lost 8 pounds :( which could be mostly water but I do feel im weaker. What should be my game plan for getting back into the swing of things? Should I wait until I feel 100% to get back to the gym? How long should I "ease" into things before I get back to my normal intensity?

thanks!

Learn from my mistakes,

Eccept the fact that your lifts are going to be down. I did the same thing lost about 7 IBS (only I knew it wasn't mostly water). Since my sickness was multi and spanned some time.

I kept fighting to maintain what I was currently lifting, and it was causing me to lose even more because my form had broken down and I couldn't reap the benefits of training.

Might be a good time to try a new training method, so its harder to compare your before and after lifts. That way pride can't get the best of you and either way you would have to redetermine where you are at in lifting.
