Yeah... Bush will do something.![]()
Becoming said:What is he supposed to do? Appease them, give in? That will be productive... then they will come here and kidnap people everyday..
Dude is already dead. Very unfortunate.![]()

Fast Twitch Fiber said:Isn't there some type of security over there for the contractors? Shouldn't these workers be escorted by soldiers in humvees or tanks? How does this happen? Do they just hop on their bicycles and ride down main street in Baghdad to go to work? How did they kidnap another soldier without a fight? Don't these marines stay together in groups?
I didn't support going into Iraq in the first place, but damn it, I think we're about 100,000 troops too short over there to do the job right.

Becoming said:are they? I say we are killing at least 20-50 terrorists a week... they are beheading 1-3 people a week?... I am glad we are on this side of the equation...

and come back in here and complain about 3 a week...
ChefWide said:I posted those figures a couple of months ago, good sir.
I have never complained about men dieing for a just cause or members of any family, you and I included, being sacrificed to save the world from tyrany.

Code said:I'd prefer not to be on either side of this equation.
Becoming said:Me either, but lets face it the reason they do this shit is cause they really don't have a chance...
What is interesting to me is that the only just killed a few fellow arabs/iraqis... I am wondering how much this will increase now that the handover has occured.
I bet it will be awhile before the Iraqis clue in that these terrorists are holding them back from peace over there..
If I was them I would be taking advantage of all the free money and technology they can get, they have a chance to end up far ahead of all the rest of the 3rd world coutries in their neighborhood....
Code said:The primary reason they are so enraged is because the muslim culture was not ready to be thrust into the modern age back in 1938 when the US introduced oil drilling to the kingdom of saudi arabia. We literally ruined their way of life which had stood for centuries.
They don't want our technology or our money. They want their culture restored to what they considered to be their golden age.
Becoming said:When you say "they" do you mean most iraqis, or do you mean the ones that generally have the power, the terrorists and the ones that ruled under saddam's regime...?
I bet a majority of iraqis, who don't have a pot to piss in (who I personally feel can't stand up to THEM on thier own) would love some improved quality of life our money and technology can bring them...
Of couse I doubt they will ever stand up to those who used to be in power or sell them out so we can off em regardless...

75th said:Contractors over there have types of "safe zones." At least they did last I heard of. Basically, as long as you remain within the guarded 5sq mile perimeter you are safe (troops, towers, armor, etc). These people who have been kidnapped have taken it upon themselves to travel outside said perimeter.
Fast Twitch Fiber said:These fools need to stay inside their safe zones where they only have to worry about incoming mortar rounds and at least have someone to fire back.
Code said:SmartStrongandSexy,
Have you guys bid on the biometrics contract the Iraq is looking for biometric cards??
strongsmartsexy said:No, we're not large enough to bite that kind of contract off.
Code said:If you don't mind, PM the name of your firm. I thought you'd mentioned it to me in the past.
You guys do biometric recognition right?
Anything with the DoD's CAC?
strongsmartsexy said:You have a PM.
Code said:Got it orb, thanks.
For some reason I thought you worked for another small firm with Israeli roots.
