Funniest gas boycott idea i've seen!

It would be better to just start pouring the gas all over the ground and blowing the gas stations up. That may make the prices go down.

:lmao: I actually thought of that as a joke too.

You were joking, right?

since I have stock in Exxon/Mobil, enough to pay for a year's worth of gas from dividends alone at these prices. But, if it's for the better of the country, and is only until gas prices return to reasonable amounts, then I'll try it out.

I doubt E/M will let themselves get into too much financial trouble.....and I'll be watching their ticker.
that's quite a bit of stock in one company for a young bucko! good job! you work there? Actual it was on a Watchlist of one of the stock newsletters I follow a few months ago.

I believe that over the next few years, we will see a fundamental shift in the supply-and-demand balance for oil and gas. We are consuming more, but now into the equation comes the burgeoning economies of India and China, competing for scarce resources. When I look at the market for integrated oil companies, I see ExxonMobil head and shoulders above the other majors, in terms of return on investment and lower enterprise value-to-free cash flow ratio. Extremely high prices in 2004 boosted profits to record levels. In the short term, higher oil and gas prices may not be sustainable, but the long-term trend is ominous. Owning Exxon shares may prove a good hedge against further increases.

Pretty basic stuff, but I also hope this doesn't happen as my family has more stock in that company than any other. lol, I'm not too worried. I'll even join in :D
