Funniest gas boycott idea i've seen!

What about Canada?

I think wherever you are, the point is to buy gas from Mom & Pop, rather than ANY large corporation.

But then again you risk getting shitty gas too. I hear the Russian organized crime is big into shitty gas (cut with kerosene and stuff) that will fuck yer engine. So be aware of the risk.

lmao

I tried to organize that 2 years ago. Bastard is stealing my thunder.

It would work. If enough people stop buying from a major retailer, they will capitulate eventually. Don't have to do it for the rest of the year. A month would probably be enough.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but you do realize Mobil & Exxon sell their old to pretty much EVERY gas station in the US. Regardless of the shop you buy your gas from they all share. It's a straight Oligopoly

Exactly. The mom and pop places all get their gas from the big ones like Exxon or Mobile. So this wont work. Although, it's a nice idea.

I was just gonna say don't turn this into a chain email/letter....Digger will be pissed!!

And this is a double edged sword for me, since I have stock in Exxon/Mobil, enough to pay for a year's worth of gas from dividends alone at these prices. But, if it's for the better of the country, and is only until gas prices return to reasonable amounts, then I'll try it out.

I doubt E/M will let themselves get into too much financial trouble.....and I'll be watching their ticker.

I'm sure that exxon and mobile have TONS of subcompanies... its worth a shot, but I doubt it will work. Too many people don't care enough yet :(
