Fruit while cutting?

Pintoca. Interesting post regarding the bananas, but when it comes to getting lean all that matters is calories in vs. calories out. Cardio just serves to maintain a calorie defecit.

Fruits can be ok when cutting, depends on how low in bodyfat you want to take things. Generally fruits with a higher thermic component are better suited at this time if you want to have fruit. Most anything that ends in berries for instance is good. I will even on contest dieting up till the last few weeks still include a quater cup of blueberries in my morning oatmeal.

Blueberries are terrific. My post cardio meal was just 1/3 cup oats, 2/3 cup frozen blueberries, and 1 cup cottage cheese. Tasty stuff.

While I have your attention, I was wondering if frozen blueberries retain their nutritional value?

It is what I use almost exclusively.

Great post, I have never really though about the thermic component of fruit,

will change my diet accordingly

You must spread some Karma around before giving it to Lifterforlife again

Personally, I wouldn't eat fruit whilst cutting due to the sugars.
When cutting, I stick to meats, vegetables, protien powder, eggs, walnuts and flaxseed oil.

In my experience ....
Simple, fast carbos cause the body to hold water. This blurs definition.
Sugar includes fruit and all flour/grain products.

Sugar does not include flour and grain products. Last time I checked oats and brown rice were a-okay for dieting.
