Fruit before training

since fructose can have a higher effect on liver glycogen than muscle glycogen, I'd say no to fructose just about any time of day. Remember, the liver is the last place your body pulls glycogen from when it needs energy. So you're going to deplete the muscular glycogen stores and then be feeding on the liver's. IMO it would be better to saturate the muscle cells with a low gi carb a few hrs b4. Big bowl o' oatmeal does the trick for me. Combine that with 16oz of green tea before training and voila. The golden pre w/o stack :D

Ditto on the oatmeal. If you are going to do carbs preworkout, oatmeal with a little natty peanut butter and a some kind of complete protien is tough to beat. I've had luck on carb days doing 2/3 cup (before cooking) of old fasioned oats, 2 tbs of natural peanut butter and 1 scoop of whey pre workout.

so you mix coffee and creatine? interesting

I've heard that caffeine takes away creatine's effectiveness. Have you ever tried the creatine without the coffee to see if it is any different?

the reason they are supposedly incompatible is because caffeine is a cellular constrictor and creatine is the exact opposite. I still believe that even without the cell bloating qualities of creatine, it's main purpose of adp-atp transformation is still effective.
