Does anyone get forearm pain from using the ezbar? I do my set and once i let my grip go... there is a HUGE pain in my forearms, and i really want to cry after a heavy set sometimes... but then it just goes away 10-20 seconds later. What can it be?
Widen your grip at least to shoulder width. This should help eliminate stress off of the bicep tendons. If pain continues, you might want to forget about the EZ bar and migrate to the barbell. It has worked wonders for me.
Agreed. That forearem pain is most likely in the bi tendon. Adjusting your grip to or from the ez bar might help. Might also want to try the dbs for a while.
stick to dumbells and barbell movement, most of the time it is when you wrist curls under the bar and the angle of stress changes on you forearm insertion
Dumbells put the least stress(reg. barbell hurts more than EZ does for me). I would stick with a few different DB variations for a week or two and then try out different bars/grips and find what works best for you.
change grip width, after all everyone has different sized/length upper and lower arms, find a grip width thats comfortable, after all your bicep workout should be a good burn in the biceps and not the fear of intense pain in the forearms.
