Forced to continue steroids?

I feel that you are pretty much "forced to continue steroids". Everyone is genetically only able to carry so much lean body mass, without drugs and even with them for some advanced users. If you stop using you will eventually shrink back down to your genetic max. I planned on doing just one cycle to break through plateaus, but once I was off, I started to lose weight and quickly planned my second. I'm currently on my fourth, which I plan to stay on at least a cruising dose of test indefinatley. This is why you see some guys on the boards all the time and all of the sudden their just gone. Alot of these guys just say scew it altogher, although we unfortunately do see some become invisible for other reasons. I feel that once you start, you're either keep going or nothing. Sometimes I wish I would have just stayed natural, but than again I probably never would say that after or during a workout.

The main reason you lose your gains is not the discontinuation of steroids but rather the lack of effort in the gym. After increasing muscle mass above what your body would normally maintain you have to train extremely hard. Very few can train in this manner and that is why you see most gone. They have moved on to something easier.

Well said,
how many lift the same weights on cycle or off cycle?
Very few....why? Because it's freak in hard but if you do, there is no way your body will shrink. Your body will adapt and even if not able to build muscle will keep what you have already.

Max limits for a person are alot higher than some of you think....my max limit for ex. at 6ft used to be 220 with 18%bf -now my limit has gone to 230 at 10bf and I have to eat 3500k a day just to maintain no juice or nothing just some creatine. Imagine if I want to be 260 at 10% bf my maintenace caloric intake would be around 5k daily most likely....crazy but that's what it takes

Off cycle you should eat at least 3k-4k of calories to feed the muscle and allow for heavy workouts, many ppl just do not know how to train and eat.

What all need to understand muscle comes at a high premium to the body's everyday;s functions. When food is missing the first to go is ....you guessed it muscle! Then you lose weight and then you put on fat which is much more easier for out bodies to maintain.

First things first: For optimal performance, do not use AAS until your natural growth has leveled off (Though I do not know of too many people who followed this suggestion...I know I was too impatient)

Yes, with good PCT you can keep a lot of your gains, but you have to be tough mentally and fight your way into the gym and train just as hard as you did while juicing.

I have just come off of a two year break after tearing my anterior delt, and have only been training now for 2 1/2 months, and all my strength is coming back fast. I'm making VERY noticable gains and I feel great...this is without any AAS or supplementation at all except for protein. I've used AAS since age 19 off and on (30 now), so: No, you are not FORCED to use them forever.

Its all diet no matter if you are on gear or not.
I can outgrow guys at my gym who are on a gram of test when I am clean.
When I am clean I extremely low test levels. The equivalent of producing 30mgs/week.

Wrong. Nobody can train natty at the same level as when on cycle.
I lose 20/30 pounds on my max lifts off cycle. I try like hell. Doesn't happen.
But I use shit like: Tren, Var, Deca, Drol, Halo.
When you go off that shit. you WILL lose size, shape, and strength.
IMHO, It's just a matter of how much.
However, based on your off cycle diet / trainig program you can minimize it.

Your losing water weight and strength, never said anything about that. Said you could maintain muscle if you trained hard. Of course your going to lose your extra 20/30 lbs did you really think that was muscle anyway. Of course your strength will go down. We all know this. The question was about size.

I was assuming he was not taking bloat into consideration.

If you or anyone else goes back down to their original pre steroid size then why would they bother. Muscle can be retained. I think that what you don't realize is how much of your gains are actually muscle vs. water. Water is always going to be temporary.
