For those "On" or "Off".....what is your OTHER Hobbie?

Hey guys...woke up this morning feeling good...did my sust inject last night...little sore this morning, but massaged the hell out of it...currently on sust (12wks)/dbol (4 wks)... So i woke up this morning and thought about something...we all love Elite...we all love the sport of bodybuilding in one form or other...but what is your other LOVE...your OTHER hobbie?

I do lots of competition shooting. I'm a Marksman in IDPA Stock Service Pistol. I'm hoping to his Sharpshooter at the next qualification. I shoot a USP Compact .45. If I'd quite spending money on gear I'd have a fullsize and really get into competition... Oh well, lifting is just more fun for me.

Overall I think weight lifting or bodybuilding is a pretty expensive sport. Especially if you're on gear. Eating correctly also takes its toll on the wallet. Of course, I'm a poor graduate student and that might be my damn problem!

I enjoy skiing, I live near whistler BC so I hope to get up 10+ times this season... Just bought some Rossi Bandit XX's and new boots too....In the summer i'm a bit of a beach bum, but I love to go hiking and mtn biking a lot too...Where I am the winters and fall are cold and damp so me and my girl like to watch movies; i'm a big movie guy, sci-fi, comedy, horror, action etc; but i love the sci-fi! Most of my time outside the gym goes to school, i'm three semisters shy of graduating with my Bachelors of Business Adminstration Degree, and I'm taking 6 classes/semester so my time is well occupied.

and i am a post whore? lol jk bro :)

i love to play hockey and watch it...unfortunately school and my girltakes up alotta my time

my daughter #1. I also road race motorcycles. What a contradiction in sports! 1 I want to get big and the other as light as possible so I'm faster. No way I can race the rs 250 2 strokes anymore, I need the 1000cc superbikes

Have to agree with the other bros. Most of my time outside of the gym is devoted to my son. I also love to play golf. I turned my son on to it about 9 months ago and he loves it as well. Nothing like playing a round with my son and watching his game mature as he does. I thank God for times like this.

Combat shooting although I no longer compete I still hit the range from time to time with a few Glocks to go thru the motions. Restore and show my classic Chevy's, I own and have owned many state and national level winning cars.

I have two little boys so they take up a lot of time. I also ride & race motocross. I am a hardcore skiier but I live in the flatland now so I have to travel to ski. Lots of other hobbie too; guitar, shooting, martial arts,etc.. But these days I can only do a few things cause of time.

Let's see, I have a few-most of which I incorporate into my training schedule somehow. I have 3 pitbulls(my only living relatives)-a red nose 70 lb male, a red nose 35 lb female, and an 85 lb male blue nose that I walk daily for cardio or I'll spend time swimming w/ them in my pool. The 70 lb male swims underwater and fetches bricks from the pool bottom.

As far as material shit goes, I have a tricked out slammed X-cab dually w/ an environmentally unfriendly 454 Vortec that rides about 6 inches off of the ground that I usually drive(scrape)to the gym daily. (10 mpg really sucks-so I have a POS 4 cyl. Mitsu Galant for work too.) I also have a '99 Hayabusa motorcycle-the fastest production bike ever made (before the voluntary 185 mph restrictions were implemented by manufacturers in 2001.) I usually ride it to/from the gym at night on days that I pull a double or extra cardio. It's tricked out w/ aftermarket exhaust/Power Commander/geared/airbox mod/various cosmetics, etc. I've buried the speedo at 220 mph before-which has been a problem since my last criminal speeding (26 mph over posted 65)ticket caused State Farm to drop my insurance coverage. 1.5 more months w/o a ticket and I can get it reinstated-I can hardly wait. Until then, 4 wheels in the right hand lane is for me.

I also like guns. I have an Israeli Made Desert Eagle .44 and a Glock 26 9mm-one goes with me wherever I go depending on my mood. I also have a decent knife collection-including a 18 inch Italian Switchblade(spring loaded knives are legal here), Ghurka Kukris, various lockblade folders, tantos, butterfly knives, boot knives, push daggers, throwing knives/axes, swords, samurais, etc.

I like electronics too, but I'm still a bit behind the times in that dept. I have this dinosaur big screen tv with a Bose System which is enough for me for now. I like violent X-box games like GTA, Manhunt, Splinter cell, etc.-that I often play while riding the stationary bike in my living room.

I try to fit pussy in there somewhere too. Preferably tall, supermodel thin, with optional fake tits and no gag reflex.

Shoot. The wife quit her 80k a year job to stay home with the kids so, I pretty much work 7 days a week to keep our household economy up to snuff. I used to do a lot of stuff but, I don't really have any hobbies now. . .unless you count stockpiling supplements for my next cycle. :)

Well for me, my daughter of course, she is only 2 and she loves to go to the gym as well (day care), music and cars...trying to find good aftermarket parts for my BMW.

I am busy studying Computer Data Communications (INT). I would love to hit the links and play a round of golf every now and then but Kansas weather sux.
I play basketball as much as possible, although it takes a back seat to lifting.
I install car stereo systems for all my friends for free.

The best time I have is on my motorcycle rides (1990 Honda VFR750), but I am off at college and have no where to store it so it just sits at home collecting dust. :(

For fun I work. My other hobbie is work. When I'm not doing that I tend to hang with my friends and work. The key to this is that I get to say training is work for me! Shooting, Lifting, Jumping, Diving and anything else that will make me a better warrior all fits in the "work" description for me.

Music and school. I figure if I don't get into grad school for some reason, I'll start another band and go for shit. If I do get into grad school, neuroendocrinology will be my focus, but I will always play music nonetheless. Girls are pretty cool too :).

Motorcycle roadracing, listening to music on a good stereo, hiking, wine, reading, Siberian Huskies, shooting every now and then, and (how's this for macho) interior design and decorating.

I'm build computers and I do some web/software programing - video editing and design work for money.

I also make music (mostly electronic beats) and record vocalists, some bands and commercial overdubbing mostly for shit money or no money. It's as expensive as gyms, food and AAS but you do what you love and what drives you.

I'm an obsessive sports fan. I work at home and have sports talk radio or espn news on all day. If I could inject it I would be dead. I'm married to a very cool woman and I live in New York City so I do get out at night, thankfully.

I have been playing around with real estate investing (not that I have the money to invest, but its kinda like gambling with an edge...considering land values over the long hall will always go up)...I love golf, reading, and God, I used to sports gamble online until i got carried away last year and dumped about 20k in 4 weeks...rather than try to dig myself out I decided to give it up and start saving money and investing in more realistic options. I would like to try day trading in commodities, but not really all that educated on it...if any bros on here are into that and want to give a newbie some advice ...Im all ears and ready to dole out the Karma.

I think Im the first to say this but I love fishing!!! Its so relaxing. You need that sometimes. Also when you catch one its a great adrenaline rush. Its great. When I feel like something a little more action I like to go quading (four wheeler). I go through the woods. Great fun too. Hiking too. O yea and when I feel like letting a little off, Ill go out back and shoot anything. Its great when you have long grass ( like 1.5 feet tall) and you take a shotgun with bb shells and shoot the grass from the side. Cuts down the time on mowing. Really. Ive done it before.

bigcracker you are a crazy son of a bitch.. need a buddy?

well down here in south florida i work, commercial building advisor, finishing up my general contractors lisence... i flip homes.... all within 6 months of graduation from university of florida lawschool...big change of plans

for fun.. bmw m3, ford f350 duelly lowered and hookup, 01 yamaha r1, 02 sea doo xp. working on a boat.. i like to drive fast, play hard and bang out country music....

girlfried o yea long walks on the beach, candlelight dinners, me catching my breath each and everytime we walk past a jewelry store....

play guitar, listen to music, read when I get a chance. between work, full-time school and lifting I have little time to do much else.

Like to hit the mountains once a year(been a few years unfortunately) to snowboard or ski, whatever I feel like that year(want to move closer to Canada, Colorado, or New Mexico when I finish college so I can go a few times every season).

Want to get into motorcycle roadracing, but with school finances, plus furnishing my place with nice toys(big screen tv/xbox 360 and whatnot), and the juice... can't afford a bike at the moment.

Love cars, like anything from imports to big block chevys! Planning on going for a 08 z06 when I finish school. Intake/longtube headers/catback perhaps(the new z06 baffle switch is kind of cool for highway trips), big cam, and a nice 150-200 shot of nitrous "Just in case" its needed :). What? My old man had a 70' Chevelle SS LS6(454 putting out an under-rated 450 hp) for a high school graduation present... then proceeded to mod it to the hilt, and made it a full out drag car, 10.6 with a cement spare in the trunk to meet weight regulations for that class, now you don't think I could let him have the fastest record in the family eh? 427 Smallblock ls7 will take care of that! If only he knew when he sold the car that it would be worth 1/4 million today... blah.

Indy, ya know I envy you, I love classic chevies, especially the 1st gen camaros and the chevelles for obvious reasons.

that's so funny bro, i used to road race too, i campaigned a gixxer 750 and could hang with all the guys on the liter bikes, cause i was only around 103lbs when i raced.. now i'm into body building and getting bigger, but i can still hang with most guys on a course or thru the canyons. i'm still small by their standards so it's all good...
my hobbies are mostly motorcycle or movie related.

I breed exotic animals. Mostly rare pythons these days. I do some DJing too and I own a pirate radio station. I piss off the FCC whenever I can... :chomp:

Vagina, DJ shows, music (electronic mostly), painting, school, going out, movies, all sorts of stuff.

I used to have a radio show but I don't have time for one in NY. I also miss driving...I sold my Audi before moving to the city.

Sad, to say nothing really. Yeah, I dig sex and going out, but no real other hobby. Does watchin the Dolphins count? I work and when I'm not working or lifting, I do like to read about weight training, AAS, and sometimes sex (yeah sex). Anyone find it strange I collect gargoyle statues? I wouldn't call it a hobby though, more of an interest maybe. :)

Not only does it count, it's encouraged!!! I like to punch strippers in the kidneys while I penetrate them anally. It makes their assholes pucker right up.

Sheep feel close to the real thing, but I can't get violent with them because I belong to PETA. :p

chyllaxyn said:

Damn right it does! In fact combine that with "sportfucking" as mentioned previously in this thread and you all now know my specialty/hobby as you call it.

Sportfucking strippers with sweat bands on (head and wrists) and treating them like the whores they are!!

:qt:

I have found that putting a sheep's hind legs in your boots is best when you cannot resist that animalistic urge! ROFLMAO!

Wow, great to see some fellow motorcycle roadracers here on Elite. I race with WERA and CCS on the east coast. I travel from Pocono Raceway in PA to Jennings GP in FL to compete for regional and national points. I consider VIR my home track even tough its over 5 hours away. Still trying to brake into the 1”30’s there. I think 2006 will be the year!

November to January is my only down time from racing. At least three weekends a month I’m either at a race practice/track day or racing my Yamaha R6. This upcoming season I plan on putting my Ducati 998 on the track for the heavyweight twins class but still plan on racing the R6 as well.

Art, sculpture, drawing, mix mediums
i also BMX a lil, Swim, Computers, Beer, natural medicines, fighting, and my girl

Bodysurfing in the spring and summer because its the closest thing to flying on earth, sledding and cross-country sking in the winter because, well shit , we have to do something to amuse ourselves here all winter in Vermont!
And cooking and baking all year ...so I can eat healthy, stay hard and grow bigger!

My two daughters always first and then fishing, mixed martial arts, sky diving, traveling, partying like a rock star, and all water sports is my favorite!

I can't get over all these big bro's on dirt bikes and motorcycles!! I really have so many other hobbies but it's hard to make time for most of them with kids and work. Great question Swordfish it was cool to see other peoples hobbies!

Hey Mendo, how could one start up their own station? I've been thinking about doing it for awhile now......

You need a transmitter and an antenna. They aren't as big and complicated as you might think. The one I have now is 50 watts and covers about a 20 mile radius. The transmitter is only about 6x6x4 inches in size. The antenna just looks like a UHF antenna. You can buy them as parts and have someone with a lot of electronics experience put it together for you (I don't know shit about electronics myself). Its not illegal to have a transmitter if its just in parts. Or you can buy a complete transmitter and have it shipped from overseas. I've done it both ways, but not since 9/11...its probably tougher now. I would suggest you track down pirate radio discussion boards and get to know people...kinda like EF. There are lots of pirate radio stations out there.
The rest can be as simple or as professional as you want. I have mics and mixers and a PC that runs thousands of MP3s and programs entire shows, but you could just run a station off an Ipod if you want.
The trick is to make sure you tune it to an open frequency. Most FCC busts are from pirate stations transmitting on frequencies that professional stations use.

I love MMA fighting, trying to get a good crew together in my area to train with on a regular basis. It is Hard tho when I have to work 30 hrs a week and take 10 hrs at school.... oh yeah and chasing girls like all the other guys on here :p

My other hobbie, school. Yeah, its sooooo fun ;).

Get that bike on the track! Once you ride on a track, you'll never understand how you had fun on the street. A race track opens an entirely new world and redefines what you call "going for a ride".

To me it doesn’t get any better than sitting about 20' high in a tree waiting for the perfect wall mount to get close enough to sling a carbon arrow its way. The odds are I will miss, but that’s beside the point!! Bow hunting is a very challenging sport and a good way to relax and enjoy nature up close and personal.

LOL That's a great idea!!! What I usually do is face them towards the edge of a steep cliff-they'll back right up on to it no prob. BTW-these things are best done in the dark cuz if someone sees you it might be very upsetting to them. :p
