Food after late night cardio?

I'm in the middle of cutting right now and sometimes I decide to add an extra cardio session at night. I'm wondering if I need to add some extra food in after the session. Normally I eat a tbsp of ANPB late at night to cut down on any cravings. Is this fine after a cardio session, or should I do a whey protein shake and the ANPB?

When you say "extra" cardio session are you implying that you're doing cardio in the morning as well?

If that's the case, I would definitely add some food in after your night cardio session because think about it, you do cardio, sleep 8 hours and then do another cardio session the next morning?

That's 2 cardio sessions, plus 8 or more hours without food.

Just sounds like it's going to be a little catabolic to me.

My 2 cents.

Yup, that's what I meant...did cardio 9-10pm, ate 1 scoop whey, 4oz skim milk, 1 tbsp ANPB, went to sleep @1pm - woke up at 9a and did 45min of hill training.

Does that sound like a good amount of food after the late night cardio? And what do you guys recommend post morning cardio - how long after cardio should I eat, and what should it consist of - protein? carbs?

I think that looks good to me, you want just enough cals to heal for tommorws training without raising blood sugar levels, and having to much energy in the tank for sleep fatburning... Go east on too much cardio sometimes it does more harm then good.

If I did a late night cardio.. my post cardio meal will be: Whey, Fat free cottage cheese and some Peanut butter or Soy nuts, Almonds

eat some fats and maybe a little protein. The fats will keep lyposis going(burning of fat)
Also take in glutamine after cardio. The best time to take this supplement is after cardio and at nite to help prevent catabolism so your killing two birds with one stone.
